FC Barcelona will take on CA Osasuna in their rescheduled La Liga encounter at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys on Thursday night, 27 March.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The game was originally scheduled for 9 March, but it was postponed, in the 11th hour, after the passing of\u00a0 Barcelona’s first-team doctor, Carles Minarro Garcia.<\/p>\n

Barcelona and Osasuna were reluctant to play this week, expressing concern about player recovery time after the international break. However, they lost their appeal to postpone and must now find a way to stay competitive for 90+ minutes.<\/p>\n

Barcelona are the only team across the top five European leagues to avoid defeat in 2025. Hansi Flick’s side have played eight matches since the start of the year, winning 15 and drawing three. In La Liga, they have won seven of their eight games, emerging as the best team in the division.<\/p>\n

In their previous outing in the Spanish top flight, Barcelona claimed a thrilling 4-2 victory over rivals Atletico Madrid<\/a>. They overturned a two-goal deficit at the Metropolitano Stadium, with Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres scoring in injury time to secure the win. Barcelona are currently sitting at the top of the league rankings with 60 points. Defending champions Real Madrid are level on points, but the Blaugrana can pull ahead if they avoid losing against Osasuna.<\/p>\n

Considering how well Barcelona have been playing, beating Osasuna should not be much of a challenge. Currently sitting in 14th place, Osasuna have only picked up 33 points from 27 games in La Liga this season. They have not won any of their last six games in all competitions (3 D, 3 L), with their previous triumph in La Liga coming at home against Real Sociedad at the start of February.<\/p>\n

Raphinha and Ronald Araujo, who were in international action earlier this week, will also miss the game, with Hansi Flick choosing to rest the pair.<\/p>\n
