He&#8217;s got <strong>GODWINSON<\/strong> here, who went well first time out last season and had excuses the last twice on soft ground.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/2025-lincoln-handicap-trends-doncaster-horse-racing\/\">Lincoln Handicap trends<\/a> suggest draw 9+ are favoured over the last 20 years, but two of the last three winners came from stalls 4 or lower so Godwinson&#8217;s 3 berth could be okay. He&#8217;s since on on the AW at Newcastle and had Who&#8217;s Glen back in 4th &#8211; so meeting that horse on 11lbs better terms gives this Richard Hughes horse a big chance.<\/p>\n<p>However, he lost his way after and has been gelded and had a wind op as a result. The step up in trip to 2m is also an known, so a chance is taken on <strong>WHO&#8217;S GLEN<\/strong> reversing the form for the in-form Andrew Balding yard. These runs included a third to Porta Fortuna in the G1 Matron Stakes at Leopardstown and was far from disgraced at the Breeders&#8217; Cup after a slow start over a new trip.<\/p>\n<p>Shuwari would be very interesting if make to the level that saw her run second in the 2023 Fillies&#8217; Mile &#8211; but that was 533 days ago and has clearly had some issues since.
