Az from FPL Blackbox returns with his latest set of tips ahead of Gameweek 31, this week unveiling his current Wildcard draft, with one eye on a Gameweek 33 Bench Boost.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Az From FPL Blackbox Tips: Gameweek 31 Wildcard Draft<\/h2>\n

If you held your nerve and avoided pressing the Wildcard button in Gameweek 30, good on you. Those of us who pulled the trigger last week now likely have an issue in Gabriel (potentially out for the season), while sweating on the fitness of popular picks such as Timber, Isak, Kluivert among others.<\/p>\n

Now Double Gameweek 33 has been announced, we can plan our teams around the upcoming rearranged fixtures. If you\u2019ve pulled the trigger (or are considering it) then this is the article for you. Please note, this team has been drafted with a Gameweek 33 Bench Boost in mind.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Goalkeepers:<\/h3>\n

Raya has good fixtures until the end of the season and is an easy choice to be pretty much a set an forget option in your side. Martinez has a double in 33 and could even be drafted in for the Southampton game in 32 if you\u2019d prefer.<\/p>\n

An alternate option here is to replace Martinez with Areola, saving a chunk of funds. While you lose the Double in 33, West Ham play Southampton, so there is a strong chance of a clean sheet.<\/p>\n

Defenders:<\/h3>\n

An injury to Gabriel is a bit of an \u201ceasy win\u201d for Gameweek 31 Wildcards, with Saliba looking an obvious choice now. Kiwior is tempting at a much lower price, but is more at risk of rotation with the likes of White\/Timber able to step in if necessary.<\/p>\n

A poor game from Munoz, but we know what he\u2019s capable of with eight attacking returns already this season. Livramento is my pick of the Newcastle defenders \u2013 we\u2019re not sure who will play where when Botman is back, but Tino is almost guaranteed a start, having the versatility to play on either flank.<\/p>\n

I certainly wouldn\u2019t be wildcarding without Gvardiol, who offers attacking threat when deployed at full back. I\u2019m hoping to see more of that. The fifth defender is open really, I\u2019ve gone for Wan-Bissaka to target Southampton in Gameweek 33. Other options include Digne, Konate or Dorgu, who all have attractive fixtures in the same week.<\/p>\n

Midfielders:<\/h3>\n

Salah and Saka are easy choices, with the latter scoring off the bench on his return from a lengthy injury lay off. The rest of the midfield is a bit of a lottery. I\u2019ve opted for Sarr and Murphy, who are both in and amongst the points lately with very attractive price points. Rashford is a bit of a minutes risk, but I just know one of him, Asensio or Rogers is going to explode over the Gameweek 32- 33 period and Rashford is my preference given his pedigree in the league and recent form.<\/p>\n

Alternative options include plumping for Eze over Sarr, Gordon over Murphy or the likes of Savinho and Martinelli who are also offering potential at an attractive price.<\/p>\n

Forwards:<\/h3>\n

I\u2019m keeping faith in my own forward trio. Isak and Marmoush both scored this week, however the former limped off afterwards. Hopefully he will be fine ahead of Leicester and then a Double Gameweek. If he is ruled out, Gordon becomes even more tempting.<\/p>\n

Mateta looked a no brainer but an early sub and abject Crystal Palace performance for most of the game has put me off a bit. Still, it\u2019s hard to find a striker with a Double Gameweek in 33 and he has back-to-back Doubles in 32 and 33 so it would take a brave Fantasy manager to go without him.<\/p>\n

Not too many other forward options here. Joao Pedro\u2019s minutes have likely become more secure with the injury to Rutter. Watkins is tempting but similar to the midfield trio mentioned earlier, might find his minutes under threat with so many games in such a short period of time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
