a massive 86% of the last 21 winners carried 10st 13lbs or less and aged 9 or younger.

So, if running, this would be a big plus for the fancied Rebecca Curtis-trained Haiti Couleurs, who is an 8 year-old and gets in with a light weight.

In fact, you can also take the weight trend further if you wanted as 16 of the last 21 (76%) winners carried just 10st 8lbs and 62% only 10st 6lbs or lower.

That said, the trends haters out there will point to the last two winners defying this stat as Intense Raffles carried 11st 4lbs and I Am Maximus 11st 1lb.

Away from the age and weight stats it’s also worth noting horses that had run in the last eight weeks – 86% of the last 21 ticked this box.

While don’t be too worried if your fancy is down the market with the best horse racing betting sites in the UK – as the average winning SP since 2003 has been 26/1.

We even saw a monster 150/1 winner in 2021 when Freewheelin Dylan defied the odds.

Irish Grand National 2025 Runners Carrying 10st 13lbs or Less and Aged 9 Or Younger

Haiti Couleurs

Now Is The Hour

Shecouldbeanything

Sa Majeste

Stuzzikini

Daily Present

Mint Boy

Final Orders

Kinturk Kalanisi

Bushmans Pass

Moonovercloon

Hasthing

Noble Birth

Another Choice (Res)

Will Do (Res)

Canal End (Res)

Horse Racing Trends

Irish Grand National –
