Following his dominant and destructive performance at UFC 314, Paddy Pimblett has climbed four spots in the latest UFC Lightweight Rankings.<\/strong><\/p>\n

‘The Baddy’ has climbed four spots to #8 in the updated 155-pound UFC Rankings following his Round 3 knockout of Michael Chandler at UFC 314 in Miami.<\/p>\n

Paddy Pimblett Climbs Four Spots In Latest UFC Lightweight Rankings<\/h2>\n

Following his dominant victory against Michael Chandler at UFC 314 in Miami, Paddy Pimblett has climbed four places in the updated UFC Lightweight Rankings.<\/p>\n

Heading into his UFC 314 co-main event with Chandler, Pimblett was ranked at #12 in the official 155-pound rankings. His American counterpart was ranked at #7 himself, having fought the better fighters and even competed for the UFC Lightweight Title before.<\/p>\n

The best UFC betting sites felt the Chandler vs Pimblett fight was a true 50\/50 match-up, which is what the majority of MMA fans though too. It turned out to be anything but, with a one-sided beatdown from ‘The Baddy’ which has consequently helped him climb four spots in the latest UFC rankings.<\/p>\n

With his latest climb in the rankings, the 30-year-old firmly has his sights set on the top five and some of the best lightweight’s in the world.<\/p>\n

It is likely that Pimblett will be given someone ranked in the top five in his next bout, which means should he win he will be within touching distance of a title shot himself.<\/p>\n

‘Paddy The Baddy’ really has gone from strength to strength since joining the UFC<\/a>, and has now won all seven fights since signing for Dana White’s organisation.<\/p>\n

Paddy Pimblett Now Ranked #8 At Lightweight<\/h3>\n

After stopping Michael Chandler in Round 3 of their lightweight co-main event bout at UFC 314, Paddy Pimblett has jumped from #12 to #8 in the latest UFC Lightweight Rankings.<\/p>\n

There are now just seven fighters, plus the champion Islam Makhachev, ranked above the Liverpudlian on the entire UFC roster at 155-pounds.<\/p>\n

Arman Tsarukyan is the #1 ranked contender at lightweight, with former champion Charles Oliveira ranked at #2. Justin Gaethje, former long-reigning featherweight champion Max Holloway and Dustin Poirier make up the top five.<\/p>\n

Then comes Dan Hooker and Mateusz Gamrot, who are the only remaining fighters ranked higher than ‘Paddy The Baddy’ in the updated UFC Lightweight Rankings<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When Will ‘Paddy The Baddy’ Fight For The UFC Lightweight Title?<\/h3>\n

Now that he is ranked at #8 in the latest UFC Rankings, Paddy Pimblett is all but guaranteed a shot at someone ranked inside the top five of the 155-pound division.<\/p>\n

This means that if he was to win his next fight against someone like Charles Oliveira, Dustin Poirier, Max Holloway or Justin Gaethje, the 30-year-old would be all but guaranteed a shot at Islam Makhachev and the UFC Lightweight Title.<\/p>\n

In short, if he wins his next fight say before the end of the year, we could be talking about Paddy Pimblett challenging Islam Makhachev for the full UFC Lightweight Title in the first half of 2026. Madness.<\/p>\n
