Liverpool skipper Virgil van Dijk has signed a two-year contract extension with the club that will keep him on Merseyside until 2027.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Dutch centre back, 33, was due to be out of contract at the end of the current season.<\/p>\n

But Van Dijk<\/strong> has now committed his future to Arne Slot’s team, joining teammate Mohamed Salah<\/strong> in signing a new deal with Liverpool<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the deal was announced, Van Dijk said:\u00a0\u00a0“It’s a proud feeling, it’s a feeling of joy. It’s just incredible.<\/p>\n

“The journey I’ve had so far in my career, to be able to extend it with another two years at this club is amazing and I’m so happy.”<\/p>\n
