Pingreen is back for his latest round of FPL gameweek 33 tips. Ahead of the action, he provides his best captaincy pick alongside the strongest options in defence, midfield and attack.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hello FPL fans! My name is Pingreen, and I\u2019m back to share my top picks for Gameweek 33 and beyond, right here on SportsCasting<\/em>.<\/p>\n

I finished 700th in the world in 2022\/23 and ranked 1,330th last season, so make sure you take my advice seriously.<\/p>\n

Another Double Gameweek! This one features Man City, Aston Villa, Arsenal, and Crystal Palace. If you\u2019re not playing a chip this week, what are you doing?<\/p>\n

FPL Gameweek 33 Tips<\/h2>\n

Captain Pick \u2013 Omar Marmoush \u2013 \u00a37.6m \u2013 EVE (A), AVL (H)<\/h3>\n

\"Omar<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve personally been planning to use my Triple Captain chip this week, and the original plan was to give it to Bukayo Saka, with Arsenal having the luxury of a Double Gameweek that includes a woeful Ipswich Town side.<\/p>\n

However, I really don\u2019t trust Saka\u2019s playing time at the moment, so plans have changed. Now, when I activate the chip, it\u2019ll be Man City\u2019s Omar Marmoush who gets the armband.<\/p>\n

The Egyptian has been solid\u2014perhaps not spectacular\u2014since stepping in up front for Erling Haaland, with four goals in his last three outings and an average of 0.65 npxGI per 90. Crucially, he\u2019s played 86, 90, 90, and 82 minutes in his last four games.<\/p>\n

That consistency, combined with a Double Gameweek against Everton and Aston Villa, is more than enough reason to trust him with your captaincy \u2014 or in my case, triple captaincy.<\/p>\n

Defender \u2013 Jakub Kiwior \u2013 \u00a34.8m \u2013 IPS (A), CRY (H)<\/h3>\n

Out of the four sides with a Double this Gameweek, Arsenal definitely have the best fixtures on paper. First, a trip to East Anglia to take on an Ipswich side ranked bottom three for goals conceded and bottom four for goals scored.<\/p>\n

Then they host Crystal Palace, who have conceded ten goals in their last two matches. Given those fixtures\u2014and Arsenal boasting the league’s best defensive record\u2014an Arsenal defender feels essential.<\/p>\n

My pick is Jakub Kiwior. It was ultimately between him and Saliba because with three or four players rotating in the fullback spots, it\u2019s hard to predict minutes there.<\/p>\n

And frankly, I can\u2019t justify spending an extra \u00a31.7m on William Saliba.<\/p>\n

Since Gabriel\u2019s injury against Fulham at the start of the month, Kiwior has played every single minute and looked impressive.<\/p>\n

With Gabriel ruled out for the season, there’s no reason Kiwior shouldn’t start both games this week. I\u2019d be shocked if Arsenal don\u2019t keep at least one clean sheet.<\/p>\n

Midfielder \u2013 Eberechi Eze \u2013 \u00a36.9m \u2013 BOU (H), ARS (A)<\/h3>\n

\"FPL<\/p>\n

I had Eberechi Eze in my team for the Double in Gameweek 32, and it\u2019s fair to say it was a mixed bag. He earned seven points in the first fixture against Man City – which I was delighted with – only to follow it up with a -1 against Newcastle after one of the worst penalty attempts I\u2019ve ever seen.<\/p>\n

Even so, he\u2019s still my midfield pick for Gameweek 33. Overall, I think he\u2019s being underrated this season, with five goal contributions in his last five appearances across all competitions, and averaging a solid 0.51 xGI per 90.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, I can\u2019t guarantee he\u2019ll be allowed near the next penalty Palace win. Most importantly – like every pick this week – he\u2019s expected to get solid minutes in both fixtures.<\/p>\n

On paper, Bournemouth and Arsenal may not be the juiciest opponents, but prior to last week\u2019s 1-0 win over Fulham, Bournemouth went eight games without a win.<\/p>\n

And Arsenal might rotate heavily in that second fixture, given it comes just before their crucial Champions League clash with PSG.<\/p>\n

Forward \u2013 Ollie Watkins \u2013 \u00a38.9m \u2013 NEW (H), MCI (A)<\/h3>\n

\"Aston<\/p>\n

Ollie Watkins is one Premier League goal away from tying Gabby Agbonlahor as Aston Villa\u2019s all-time Premier League top scorer.<\/p>\n

Is that why he\u2019s my Forward pick this Gameweek? Not really, but it\u2019s a nice bonus. Aston Villa are the only Double Gameweek team I haven\u2019t mentioned yet, perhaps because, like Bournemouth, the fixtures aren\u2019t ideal – home to red-hot Newcastle and away to the Etihad.<\/p>\n

But after watching them against PSG in the Champions League quarter-final, I don\u2019t think the Villans should fear teams like that anymore\u2014because they are one.<\/p>\n

Emery\u2019s side have been flying, winning nine of their last ten matches across all competitions and scoring 24 goals in the process. Watkins hasn\u2019t scored as many of those as you might expect – Rashford and Asensio have been stealing the spotlight since January – but he\u2019s still the one to own.<\/p>\n

With 20 goals this season and an average of 0.7 xGI per 90, I don\u2019t think he\u2019ll just tie Agbonlahor this Gameweek\u2014I think he\u2019ll overtake him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
