Az from FPL Blackbox is back with his latest set of tips ahead of Blank Gameweek 34, unveiling his selections as he opts to activate his Free Hit chip.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s been a long wait this season, but it\u2019s finally time to activate the Free Hit. A reduced pool of players to pick from, but plenty of potential this week. Let\u2019s take a look at what I\u2019m currently sitting on.<\/span><\/p>\n

Az from FPL Blackbox Gameweek 34 Tips<\/h2>\n

Goalkeeper \u2013 Nick Pope<\/h3>\n

Out of all the players across the four positions, I\u2019m finding this the toughest. Do I go for a goalkeeper with a low ceiling in terms of save points but a high chance of a clean sheet (Pope, Leno, Alisson)? Or do I take more of a risk and opt for someone who will likely be busier but could see a huge haul if it all goes their way (Pickford, Kepa, Sels).<\/span><\/p>\n

At the moment, I\u2019m opting for the more sensible route, as going for Pope effectively frees up a defender slot that would have been taken by one of the Newcastle backline. I wouldn\u2019t be too surprised if I switched to Kepa though, with goal-shy United an enticing fixture for the shot-stopper who has 17 points in his last 2 games.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alternative<\/b> options I\u2019m considering<\/b>: Kepa, Alisson<\/span><\/p>\n

Defenders \u2013 Van Dijk, Ait-Nouri, Sessegnon<\/h3>\n

Ait-Nouri and Sessegnon are absolute lock-ins, as they both play already relegated teams and are among the most attacking defensive assets in the game. Wolves are on a 5-match winning run, with Ait-Nouri racking up impressive underlying numbers despite getting attacking returns in just one of the games. Sessegnon has been loving life as a right winger, with his competition failing to impress when called from off the bench \u2013 I can\u2019t see any reason why he might be dropped, and an early sub increases the likelihood of a clean sheet lock-in.<\/span><\/p>\n

Liverpool are playing to win the league against Spurs at Anfield, with Ange\u2019s men seemingly downing tools in the league to focus on European commitments. With some question marks on who will start out of Trent vs. Bradley, I\u2019m backing the security of starts for the champions-to-be.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alternative options I\u2019m considering: <\/b>Trippier, Kerkez<\/span><\/p>\n

Midfielders \u2013 Salah, Diaz, Mbeumo, Kluivert, Barnes<\/h3>\n

A plethora of options for us to consider in midfield, but few outside of the Free Hit are likely to be doubled up on Liverpool attack, which makes them more enticing, as I\u2019m backing them to score a hatful of goals against Spurs at the weekend. Barnes and Mbeumo (now the second-highest scoring player in FPL) are among the most in-form players in the league and are hard to look past this week. Barnes vs. Ipswich is a no-brainer but while Forest are no pushovers at home, recent underlying defensive numbers indicate Brentford could cause them a few problems on Monday night.<\/span><\/p>\n

The final spot is currently reserved for Kluivert. He\u2019s back from injury and plays a Manchester United side with one eye on the semi-final as Bournemouth chase a spot in Europe themselves next season.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alternative options I\u2019m considering: <\/b>Palmer, Bowen, Iwobi<\/span><\/p>\n

Forwards \u2013 Isak, Cunha<\/h3>\n

It would take a brave man to go without Isak this week, despite his own form not being particularly great compared to what we\u2019ve seen for the majority of this season. I\u2019m looking forward to owning Cunha again, who was such a good pick for me earlier in the season. Given Wolves\u2019 form and his own influence, I\u2019m backing a couple of returns against Leicester.<\/span><\/p>\n

A part of me does want to switch to three up top and take a punt on the likes of Jimenez (especially with Muniz confirmed out) or Welbeck (more nailed on with Pedro suspended). Wood is also in consideration now he\u2019s back from injury and back on the scoresheet vs. Spurs.<\/span><\/p>\n
