Hello FPL fans! My name is Pingreen, and I\u2019m back to share my top picks for Gameweek 34 and beyond, right here on SportsCasting<\/a><\/em>. I finished 700th in the world in 2022\/23 and ranked 1,330th last season, so make sure you take my advice seriously.<\/p>\n

Gameweek 34 is a blank week for the four sides that had a Double last week \u2013 Aston Villa, Man City, Crystal Palace, and Arsenal. But you knew that and have planned well enough to still field a full eleven players, right?<\/p>\n

FPL Pingreen Gameweek 34 Tips<\/h2>\n

Captain Pick \u2013 Mohamed Salah \u2013 \u00a313.8m \u2013 TOT (H)<\/h3>\n

After months of speculation, on April 10th Mohamed Salah finally put pen to paper and committed to a new two-year contract with Liverpool. However delighted the Egyptian was with the hefty new deal, I\u2019m sure he\u2019s even more pleased to hear he\u2019s my captain for Gameweek 34.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t think the captaincy debate is particularly close this week. Salah has registered a whopping 45 goal contributions this season while averaging 1.1 xGI per 90 \u2013 making it impossible for Liverpool\u2019s brain trust not to fork out for that new contract. He\u2019s now up to 18 assists, just two shy of the Premier League record of 20, currently shared by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne. With five games still to go, you know he\u2019s gunning for that record.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, Salah and Liverpool host a Tottenham side currently sitting 17th in the table. Liverpool lifting the Premier League trophy has felt like a foregone conclusion for a while now, but a win on Sunday would mathematically seal the deal. I expect the Reds, and their talisman Salah, to come out firing.<\/p>\n

Defender \u2013 Kieran Trippier \u2013 \u00a35.6m \u2013 IPS (H)<\/h3>\n

Once an essential pick for your defence, it looked earlier in the season like Kieran Trippier\u2019s time as a relevant Fantasy Football asset might be over.<\/p>\n

But when Lewis Hall picked up a foot injury in early March, ruling him out for the season, Trippier was back in Newcastle\u2019s starting XI regularly. Many FPL managers looked his way in Gameweek 32 when the Magpies had a Double, and were rewarded with 12 points and an assist\u2014proof that the 34-year-old right-back still has gas in the tank.<\/p>\n

This weekend, Trippier and Newcastle host an Ipswich Town side whose relegation will likely be confirmed before the weekend is over. One of the many reasons the Tractor Boys are heading back down to the Championship is their lack of goal threat. Their 0.92 xG per 90 ranks bottom three in the division. That\u2019s why Newcastle widely hold the best odds for a clean sheet this weekend, making Kieran Trippier a fantastic option for your FPL defence.<\/p>\n

Midfielder \u2013 Luis D\u00edaz \u2013 \u00a37.5m \u2013 TOT (H)<\/h3>\n

I\u2019ve already made Mohamed Salah my captain pick\u2014but I\u2019m so confident Liverpool will kick off their title celebrations against Spurs on Sunday that I\u2019m doubling up and also picking Luis D\u00edaz as my midfielder of the week.<\/p>\n

The Colombian has flown a little under the radar this season\u2014perhaps due to the otherworldly numbers Salah has been putting up from the opposite wing. Still, D\u00edaz is averaging 0.59 xGI per 90 and has contributed 16 goals to Slot\u2019s table-topping side\u2014the second-most goal contributions in the Liverpool team behind Salah. He\u2019s in electric form right now, with six goal contributions in his last six games for club and country.<\/p>\n

You know who isn\u2019t in good form right now? Tottenham. They haven\u2019t shown any consistency all season and currently sit 16th, largely because they\u2019re conceding a shocking 1.61 xG per 90\u2014only the three teams in the relegation zone are worse. I, for one, can\u2019t wait to double up on the Liverpool attack against this Spurs defence.<\/p>\n

Forward \u2013 Raul Jim\u00e9nez \u2013 \u00a35.3m \u2013 SOU (A)<\/h3>\n

I\u2019m using my Free Hit chip this week, which means any player in the league is available to me on a one-week loan deal. One player who has come into my thinking late is Fulham’s Ra\u00fal Jim\u00e9nez.<\/p>\n

While Fulham have scored plenty of goals this season, Jim\u00e9nez has often had to share minutes with Brazilian teammate Rodrigo Muniz since joining the club last year. But this weekend, boss Marco Silva has ruled Muniz out\u2014making Jim\u00e9nez the perfect one-week punt against an already-relegated Southampton side.<\/p>\n

The Saints have been dreadful this season, and if not for a 93rd-minute equaliser last weekend, they\u2019d still be in danger of finishing below Derby\u2019s record-low Premier League points total. Jim\u00e9nez has managed a respectable\u2014if not spectacular\u201410 goals in 25 starts this campaign. And with Southampton boasting the worst defensive record in the division (78 goals conceded), they\u2019re the perfect opponent for the Mexican to add to his tally.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
