Europa League Final Ticket Prices<\/h2>\n

A total of 49,600 tickets were made available for Wednesday’s Europa League final<\/a> between Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur at the San Mames Stadium in Bilbao, ranging from around \u00a330 per ticket to almost \u00a31,300.<\/p>\n

UEFA’s ‘fans first’ scheme means both teams have been given 15,000 tickets each to make available to their supporters, with the most affordable tickets in this category being priced at \u20ac40 (\u00a334).<\/p>\n

General tickets are split into three categories, with Category 1 tickets available at \u20ac240 (\u00a3206), Category 2 tickets available at \u20ac160 (\u00a3137) and Category 3 tickets available at \u20ac65 (\u00a355), respectively.<\/p>\n

There are also a range of hospitality packages available for those looking to secure premium seating, with costs ranging from \u20ac1290-\u20ac1490 (\u00a31,096-\u00a31,266) per person.<\/p>\n

Flights To Bilbao From Manchester and London<\/h2>\n

There are a variety of options to get to Bilbao from Manchester and London, including coach travel, trains, ferries, driving and more, but given that we are now just a day away from the match, flying directly to the Basque Country’s largest city looks to be the only feasible option to make it in time for kick-off on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

Manchester:<\/strong><\/p>\n

As of Tuesday, May 20, there is only one direct flight from Manchester Airport to Bilbao Airport on Tuesday, the day before the game. Operated by Vueling at a cost of \u00a3509, the flight departs at 18:35 and arrives at 21:40.<\/p>\n

On the day of the game, there are currently three flights remaining with availability, with all three scheduled to arrive in Bilbao several hours before kick-off. You’ll have to get up early to catch any of these flights though, as they depart at 05:00, 06:45 and 10:35, respectively. At the time of writing, the flights cost a staggering \u00a3514, \u00a3763 and \u00a3918.<\/p>\n

Of course, there are no time constraints in terms of making it back to the UK after the game, so travel options other than flying are available, but if you’re looking to fly directly from Bilbao to Manchester, it’s set to cost you a pretty penny.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, the day after the game, there is currently only one direct flight from Bilbao Airport to Manchester Airport, once again operated by Vueling, departing at 09:55 and landing at 11:00. This flight costs \u00a3506.<\/p>\n

If you’re willing to stay an extra night in the city, you can book a direct return to Manchester on one of three flights on Friday. The two earlier flights are operated by easyJet, departing the Basque Country at 10:40 and 13:45 at costs of \u00a3935 and \u00a3744, respectively. Vueling’s later flight at 19:20 is the cheapest option, priced at \u00a3231.<\/p>\n

Therefore, by booking the cheapest outward flight – Tuesday’s Vueling flight at a cost of \u00a3509 – and the cheapest inward flight – Vueling’s \u00a3231 flight on Friday evening – fans from Manchester are able to get to and from Bilbao for \u00a3740.<\/p>\n

In comparison, you can purchase return flights between Manchester and Bilbao with easyJet for \u00a3229 the following week (Monday to Thursday). This represents a 223.14% increase in costs for football<\/a> fans on the week of the final.<\/p>\n

All departing from London Gatwick, the cheapest of the three is the 19:00-22:05 Vueling flight at \u00a3243. The 18:35-21:35 Vueling flight costs \u00a3498, while the earlier 13:55-17:00 easyJet flight costs \u00a3918.<\/p>\n

On matchday, there are five flights with availability that arrive in time for the game. These depart from London Gatwick, London Stansted and London Heathrow, operated by Vueling, British Airways, Transavia and easyJet.<\/p>\n

There are plenty of options in terms of return flights to the English capital for Spurs fans, with seven direct flights with availability from Bilbao to London on Thursday, the day after the game, and one on the Friday, two days after the game.<\/p>\n

Flights on the Thursday, heading to London Gatwick, London Stansted and London Heathrow, cost between \u00a3506 and a whopping \u00a31,847 at the time of writing, while Friday’s sole flight to London Gatwick costs \u00a3623.<\/p>\n

As you can imagine, finding accommodation in Bilbao is becoming increasingly harder as we approach matchday.<\/p>\n

The cheapest place on Booking.com<\/em> for one person to stay\u00a0<\/em>on the night of the Europa League final, Wednesday, May 21, at the time of writing, is at the All Iron Hostel<\/em>. A bed in a 10-bed mixed dormitory room with breakfast included, located 1.1 miles from the city centre, costs \u00a3194.<\/p>\n

After that, prices range from \u00a3250 in lower-rated accommodation, all the way up to \u00a310,000 in premium accommodation.<\/p>\n

Once again, to highlight the increase in costs for Manchester United and Tottenham fans, you can stay in hostels for as little as \u00a315 a night in Bilbao on the following Wednesday (May 28), while hotels are available for \u00a350-\u00a3100 a night.<\/p>\n

Unsurprising, given the extortionate prices for hotels and accommodation in the city, many fans have opted to stay in the neighbouring city of Santander, which is around a one-hour car journey away from Bilbao. A bed in a Santander hostel costs as little as \u00a320 on matchday, with the cheapest hotel rooms costing around \u00a350-\u00a3200 for the night.<\/p>\n

Of course, by taking up this option, you’d need to find transport to Bilbao in time for the game as well as back to Santander after the match, which could become costly as the game and celebrations may run past midnight.<\/p>\n
