British fighter Tom Aspinall has conceded his next fight is looking less likely to be against Jon Jones, and that he may need to ‘move on’ from that fight.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Having held the interim UFC<\/strong><\/a> heavyweight title since November 2023, Aspinall has been keen for the chance to unify by fighting regular title holder Jon Jones.<\/p>\n

But the 32-year-old Brit has admitted he may need to ‘move on’ from a heavyweight unification bout.<\/p>\n

American fighter Jones, 37 has stated repeatedly that he does not wish to face Aspinall, who is rapidly losing patience.<\/p>\n

Having been expected to fight Jones next, Aspinall is now reportedly due to face Ciryl Gane at UFC 317 in June.<\/p>\n

Tom Aspinall Concedes Next Fight Not Likely To Be Jon Jones<\/h2>\n

Speaking on The High Performance Podcast<\/strong><\/em>, Wigan native Aspinall said: \u201cMe personally, I can\u2019t do anything. I think it\u2019s just down to money, on his side. I’ll fight whenever, wherever he wants, but it\u2019s down to money, I think.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just think that at this stage in his career, he\u2019s had an amazing career. I just think that he\u2019s 37, 38, but he\u2019s got a million miles on the clock.<\/p>\n

“He\u2019s got a lot of damage on the body, he\u2019s taken a lot of shots to the head. That\u2019s not me saying anything negative about him; that\u2019s the reality of it, and I\u2019m sure Jon is aware of that.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you put him in with… and I\u2019m not trying to blow my own trumpet, but I\u2019m literally the most dangerous guy in the UFC, if you look at the stats. When you put him in with a guy of my size who has those credentials, at this stage in his career, I think Jon is a smart guy and he realises that he wants to be compensated financially for it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m well bored of it, I\u2019ve had enough. We either need to fight or I need to move on, do something else.\u201d<\/p>\n
