You can see the full 2025 Lockinge Stakes runners below, plus the key trends and stats that will help you find the best profiles based on past winners.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>St James&#8217;s Palace Stakes Winner Rosallion Heads Lockinge Stakes Runners<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>We&#8217;ve not seen the Richard Hannon-trained <strong>Rosallion<\/strong> in action since landing the St James&#8217;s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot last June (watch below).<\/p>\n<p>The Blue Point colt has had a few setbacks, but after almost a year away from the track is making his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/horse-racing\">horse racing<\/a> return this Saturday in the Group One <strong>Lockinge Stakes<\/strong> at Newbury.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;ll head to the race having also been runner-up in the 2024 2000 Guineas and as a three-time Group One winner having also landed the Irish 2000 Guineas last year.<\/p>\n<p>This will be Rosallion&#8217;s second run at Newbury too &#8211; they&#8217;ve racked up nine wins in total<\/p>\n<p>They got off and running back in 1998, 1999 and 2000 with a trio of wins from Cape Cross, Fly To The Stars and Aljabr &#8211; while their most recent win in the race was in 2023 with Modern Games.<\/p>\n<p>They try again with <strong>Notable Speech<\/strong> in 2025, who will be another key Lockinge Stakes runner for anyone looking away from Rosallion and Dancing Gemini.<\/p>\n<p>Trainer Charlie Appleby has already landed both the 1000 and 2000 Guineas this season and he easily add the Lockinge with Notable Speech &#8211; his 2024 2000 Guineas hero.<\/p>\n<p>Since that 2000 Guineas win, the horse has since been slammed by Rosallion in the St James&#8217;s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot &#8211; but, on a plus, bounced back to win the Group One Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood in July (watch below).<\/p>\n<p>His up-and-down profile makes him a risky option &#8211;
