Having advanced to the French Open last 16, Britain’s ‘formidable’ Jack Draper has been backed to win several major titles in the future by former world No. 1 John McEnroe.<\/strong><\/p>\n

John McEnroe Backs Jack Draper To Win Several Majors<\/h2>\n

Jack Draper is into the second week of the French Open, with Alexander Bublik awaiting in the last 16 on Monday.<\/p>\n

The British No. 1, who is looking to advance to the quarter-finals of a major tournament for just the second time in his career, has beaten Mattia Bellucci, Gael Monfils and Joao Fonseca thus far in Paris.<\/p>\n

His most recent outing came against the latter on Saturday, whom he comfortably defeated in straight sets.<\/p>\n

Former world No. 1 and seven-time singles Grand Slam champion John McEnroe has reacted to the 23-year-old’s excellent performances in France so far, claiming that this is ‘the best’ he’s ever seen the youngster play.<\/p>\n

\u201cJack\u2019s locked in beautifully,” McEnroe told TNT Sports<\/em> on Monday morning.<\/p>\n

“This is the best I\u2019ve ever seen Jack play. It\u2019s incredible how much he\u2019s improved in my book the last year or so, even on clay. I mean, he looks great on clay, he\u2019s formidable, man.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019s going to win majors, not major, majors. Wimbledon, he\u2019s going to go in at worst as like the fourth favourite, at worst.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s certainly a guy that\u2019s going to, to me, probably more likely than any other guys I mentioned, win majors. I don\u2019t think he\u2019s quite ready yet here, but he\u2019s getting awfully close.<\/p>\n

\u201cI suspect that, you know, he\u2019s been well-schooled about what to expect, I mean, any player is really, when you play Bublik, what the hell is going to happen? So, it makes it interesting, but I see him winning fairly comfortably.\u201d<\/p>\n
