He has been out of work since departing French club Racing 92 mid-season.<\/p>\n<p>He will replace the outgoing Pete Wilkins, who departed after Connacht were knocked out of the European Challenge Cup in April.<\/p>\n<p>Lancaster was at the helm with England for four years. That&#8217;s despite boasting to of Ireland&#8217;s biggest stars in Bundee Aki and Mack Hansen.<\/p>\n<p>The Galway side rarely threaten the top half of the URC table.
