He served as an assistant from August 2014 to July 2018,\u00a0before joining Juventus U17. Since the move to the Emirates Stadium, he has served as Arteta&#8217;s assistant in 261 games in all competitions.<\/p>\n<p>During his time at Arsenal, he earned praise for helping in player development and for his tactical mind. He also shared an excellent relationship with players, earning their respect. Granit Xhaka, who was one of the pillars of Arsenal&#8217;s midfield, backed Cuesta to manage a &#8220;big, big, big club&#8221; in the future.<\/p>\n<h2>Mikel Arteta Welcomes Development for His Coaching Staff<\/h2>\n<p>Losing his assistant, Carlos Cuesta, will undoubtedly come as a blow for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta. However, he is unlikely to hold that against him.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, Cuesta was linked with a move to Norwich City.
