The Jaron Ennis next fight will officially take place up at 154-pounds, with ‘Boots’ confirming a move up to super-welterweight in an attempt to become a two-weight world champion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After taking to social media to confirm his move up in weight, the Jaron Ennis next fight has been confirmed for 154-pounds. As of now no opponent has been revealed, but it is now official that ‘Boots’ will move up to super-welterweight for his next contest.<\/p>\n

Jaron Ennis’ record is currently a perfect 34-0. Of these 34 victories, an emphatic 30 of them have come via knockout. The American is one of the biggest punchers pound-for-pound in boxing<\/a>, and looks to continue on his impressive knockout streak in his next fight.<\/p>\n

‘Boots’ Ennis’ next fight could even be for a version of a world title straight away at super-welterweight. There is of course a possibility that he has one fight at the new weight before then diving into world title contention early next year.<\/p>\n

At just 27-years-old, Ennis has already conquered the welterweight division. Following Terence Crawford’s move up from welterweight to 154-pounds, before his next fight against ‘Canelo’ Alvarez<\/a>, Ennis took over the 147-pound division.<\/p>\n

He became a unified champion, adding the WBA belt to his resume last time out after being the IBF champion for two fights before that. As the standout #1 welterweight in the world, a move up to 154-pounds makes total sense for ‘Boots’ Ennis’ next fight.<\/p>\n

Opponent wise, there are a whole host of names who will want to take on the undefeated former welterweight king. Ennis’ first opponent at super-welterweight very much depends on whether he gets a world title shot straight away or not.<\/p>\n
