When is The Open 2025? As the fourth and final major championship of the year approaches, all eyes are on Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland for the 153rd Open Championship golf tournament.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When Is The Open 2025?<\/h2>\n

Heading into The Open 2025, there are so many narratives that could play out across the four days of golf. Not only that, but there are so many players in with a chance of being victorious come Sunday after 72 holes.<\/p>\n

This year’s Open Championship will be played between the dates of Thursday 17th July and Sunday 20th July. World number one Scottie Scheffler looks to add to his PGA Championship major win<\/a> earlier this year, as he heads the market as the favourite.<\/p>\n

The tournament will also see career Grand Slam winner at The Masters, Rory McIlroy<\/a>, return to his home country of Northern Ireland looking to win the Claret Jug for the first time in 11 years.<\/p>\n

As always, the tournament will run over four days – with the opening two days players battling it out to make the cut.<\/p>\n

The Open 2025 also marks the fourth and final major championship of the year. So far it has been McIlroy, Scheffler and JJ Spaun who have won the previous three, so who will come out on top and win the 153rd Open Championship this time?<\/p>\n

What Golf Course Is The Open Championship Being Played At?<\/h2>\n

The Open Championship 2025 is being staged at Royal Portrush Golf Club in Portrush, Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n

Royal Portrush boasts two high quality golf courses, with the upcoming Open Championship being played at the Dunluce Links course.<\/p>\n

The course is a par 71, originally designed by golf course architect Harry Colt. It is over 7,337 yards in length and is widely regarded as one of the best golf courses in the world.<\/p>\n

Royal Portrush is consistently ranked near the top of all lists of the world’s best golf courses. It may not be as gruelling a test as Oakmont, where JJ Spaun sank a 65-foot monster putt to win the US Open<\/a> in the last men’s major, but it is a truly beautiful links course.<\/p>\n
