Champion jump jockey Sean Bowen swapped the racetrack for the altar on Friday 11th July, but only two days later was riding a double at Perth racecourse. You can see the Sean Bowen wedding pictures below after he tied the knot with long-term girlfriend Harriet Matthews.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sean Bowen Wedding Pictures Taken Two Days Before Riding a Perth Double<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Last jumps season Sean Bowen hit the bullseye with 180 winners that saw him crowed British Champion jump jockey for the first time.<\/p>\n

And despite the flat action taking centre stage in the summer, the Welsh rider has not let off the gas in his bid for a second jumps jockeys’ title.<\/p>\n

Sean Bowen, who is brother to fellow rider James, has already fired in over 50 winners for the new season and is one of the favourites with the bookies to defend his crown as the National Hunt campaign gets going proper in October and November.<\/p>\n

However, a couple of these 50+ 2025\/26 winners were notched just TWO days after his wedding – with a double at Perth on Sunday 13th July.<\/p>\n

The champion jockey is expected to dash off to his honeymoon soon, but before that thought he’d help pay the wedding expenses with four rides at Perth.<\/p>\n

Of these quartet of mounts, Bowen was also rewarded with two winners after teaming up with Grand National-winning Irish trainer Gordon Elliott on Cinnamon Roll and Sea Aster.<\/p>\n

Honeymoon On Hold With More Bowen Rides This Week<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Sean Bowen has booked rides this week at Newton Abbot on Monday, Uttoxeter on Wednesday and Worcester on Thursday – so the honeymoon must still be on ice.<\/p>\n

Bowen married Harriet Matthews on Friday on a special day that was captured by Megan Dent photography.<\/p>\n

After winning the jockeys’ title earlier this year Sean Bowen said.<\/p>\n

“My partner Harriet puts up with a lot, because I see her very rarely. We’re getting married in July and then we have our honeymoon. We’re really looking forward to that break together.”<\/em><\/p>\n
