COYIrons (@COYIronscom) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/COYIronscom\/status\/1948613175798075547?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 25, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h2>Lucas Paqueta Verdict Finally Set To Arrive<\/h2>\n<p>Following almost two years of chaos, we&#8217;re finally close to knowing the verdict on Lucas Paqueata&#8217;s case.<\/p>\n<p>This ordeal has already cost West Ham \u00a380 million, and thwarted Paqueta&#8217;s planned move to Manchester City.<\/p>\n<p>The player&#8217;s wife also claims he has suffered mentally due to the ongoing trial.<\/p>\n<p>And Irons boss Graham Potter has called for the Lucas Paqueta verdict to be delivered quickly so that West Ham can plan their transfer strategy.<\/p>\n<p>There are already worries about this summer&#8217;s window, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/jarrod-bowen-newcastle-transfer-news-isak-latest\/\"><strong>Newcastle reportedly ready to all in for Jarrod Bowen<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Paqueta is expected to be sold if he escapes a lengthy ban, with Saudi Arabia a likely destination.<\/p>\n<p>However, last month, a goalkeeper in Italy was threatened with a four-year ban if found guilty of receiving just one deliberate booking.<\/p>\n<p>Paqueta is accused of deliberately getting four yellow cards.<\/p>\n<h2>Lucas Paqueta Back In West Ham Training<\/h2>\n<p>At the end of last season, Lucas Paqueta looked to be saying goodbye to West Ham fans.<\/p>\n<p>The Brazilian looked downcast as he waved at supporters after the final game of the season.<\/p>\n<p>But he has been pictured smiling and laughing with teammates in pre-season training.<\/p>\n<p>And now, more than 50 days after his hearing ended, we are finally close to hearing the Lucas Paqueta verdict.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Lucas Paqueta and West Ham will find out the verdict of his FA tribunal hearing today (Friday 25 July) <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/JEDQhMOsvR\">pic.twitter.com\/JEDQhMOsvR<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; West Ham Football (@westhamfootball) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/westhamfootball\/status\/1948519942829096994?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 24, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The player has always maintained his innocence.<\/p>\n<p>In October of last year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/west-ham-lucas-paqueta-statement-fa-investigation-betting-allegations\/\"><strong>Lucas Paqueta released a statement regarding the FA investigation<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He said: \u201cI am frustrated and upset to have read recent misleading and inaccurate press articles, published in both England and Brazil, claiming to disclose information about my case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome of that information is entirely false and appears designed to undermine my position.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>Why Might Lucas Paqueta Be Banned?<\/h2>\n<p>Paqueta strongly denies any wrongdoing, but has faced six charges in total.<\/p>\n<p>He has been officially charged with breaches to FA Rules e5 and F3.<\/p>\n<p>The four alleged breaches to rule E5.1 relate to Paqueta&#8217;s conduct in four Premier League games.<\/p>\n<p>Matches against Leicester City, Aston Villa, Leeds United and Bournemouth between November 2022 and August 2023 have all been scrutinised.<\/p>\n<p>The FA claim that Paqueta deliberately sought to receive a yellow card in these games to affect the betting market.<\/p>\n<p>On top of these charges, the player has also been charges with breaches under FA Rule F3 in relation to alleged failure to comply with FA Rule F2.<\/p>\n<p>Rule F2 allows the FA to require any participant (player, coach, official etc.) to attend, answer question, and provide documents or other information upon being given reasonable notice.<\/p>\n<p>Paqueta is therefore accused of breaching this, which falls under Rule F3.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The day of reckoning is finally approaching for West Ham and Lucas Paqueta as the long-awaited verdict of his case is due to be announced imminently.
