Saturday’s World Matchplay Darts Tips: Wade to make SEVENTH Final and Littler to edge Rock<\/strong><\/h2>\n

James Wade vs Jonny Clayton (20:00) \ud83c\udfaf<\/strong><\/h3>\n

World Matchplay expert James Wade is competing in his 10th semi-final at the Winter Gardens and takes on a dangerous-looking Jonny Clayton.<\/p>\n

It should be an entertaining affair in a race to 17 legs and we’re backing Wade to come out on top.<\/p>\n

The Machine might be the underdog according to betting sites<\/a>, but confidence is on his side after getting by talented youngster Gian van Veen in the quarter-finals.<\/p>\n

Wade to get the better of Clayton is a juicy price at around 6\/5 and looks worth taking a chance on.<\/p>\n

After defeating van Veen, who offered a big threat at times, Wade seems to be in the form of his life right now.<\/p>\n

His experience and love for this tournament can see him edge through to yet another final. However, Clayton is no slouch – this could go all the way, with not much splitting the two when h2h (5-5).<\/p>\n

This could be a classic, two of the hottest young prospects in darts right now go head-to-head to close the night.<\/p>\n

Littler had to show guts and courage on his way to the last-four by beating Andrew Gilding 16-14 on Friday in a thrilling contest.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Rock professionally dispatched of the in-form Gerwyn Price, winning 16-11.<\/p>\n

There’s not much separating Littler and Rock on the figures, and it could go either way.<\/p>\n

However, we’re siding with The Nuke to win the match whilst hitting 14 or more 18o’s in the process. He smashed in 18 against Gilding over a shorter format, so 9\/4 looks pure value for our selection.<\/p>\n

Rock can apply pressure to his opponent, who is also a close friend. It’s the first time the pair will meet in a major, and it’s sure to be entertaining.<\/p>\n
