$6m Purse On Offer At The Irish Open Golf 2025<\/strong><\/h2>\n

A decent field in the 2025 Irish Open will battle it out for a $6m purse<\/strong>, with the winning player taking a $1,020,000<\/strong> cut of that.<\/p>\n

The winner’s purse is up from $850,000 in 2023 and last year in 2024 the prize money moved over the $1m mark for the first time.<\/p>\n

The Irish Open golf prize money also tells us the runner-up will walk away with $660,000 – meaning there’s a $360,000 difference between the first and second.<\/p>\n

    Rory McIlroy The Star Name at The 2025 Irish Open<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    The 2025 Irish Open organisers will welcome the world number 2 Rory McIlroy<\/strong> to the K Club – which will be a huge boost for crowd numbers.<\/p>\n

    McIlroy will, of course, still be buzzing from winning the Masters for the first time earlier this season – and in the process become only the sixth person to complete the career Grand Slam in golf<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    He was last seen finishing tied-23rd in the Tour Championship, but hasn’t won an event since his historic Masters in April. With a runner-up in the Scottish Open his best finish since.<\/p>\n

    Despite this, McIlory is still the clear favourite with the golf betting sites<\/a> to win this week’s Irish Open at 4\/1.<\/p>\n

    With Tyrrell Hatton next best at 12\/1, with Marco Penge and 2009 winner Shane Lowry at 14\/1.<\/p>\n

    McIlroy was runner-up in the Irish Open last year – losing by just a shot to Rasmus H\u00f8jgaard.<\/p>\n

    But has winning form when the event has been played at the K Club in the past.<\/p>\n

    He won the Irish Open prize money back in 2016 at this week’s course, after carding a -12 and winning by three strokes.<\/p>\n
