More ITV Racing action on Sunday as the cameras head to the picturesque West Sussex track to take in four races and Andy Newton is on-hand with his Goodwood horse racing tips.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Andy fired in another winning NAP (Never So Brave) on the popular Final Furlong Podcast<\/a> over the weekend and also gave viewers Darkness (1st 25\/1) at Goodwood.<\/p>\n

Goodwood Horse Racing Tips On Sunday 24th August 2025\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

It’s been a busy time for the ITV Racing<\/a> team this week with the York Ebor Festival coverage – and there’s more to come on Sunday.<\/p>\n

This decent Goodwood fixture has seen the Group races – the Prestige Fillies’ Stakes and Celebration Mile moved from Saturday to not clash with York – and it seems a good decision.<\/p>\n

As this will now give horse racing fans more to enjoy this weekend from the southern track – with four of their seven races being covered on the ‘free-to-air’ channel.<\/p>\n

1:50 Goodwood – Virgin Bet A Good Bet Handicap Cl3 (3yo+ 0-95) 1m ITV4<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A fairly competitive first ITV4 race here, but the Andrew Balding runner MISTER WINSTON is sure to be popular after a facile win at Newmarket last time out – winning by 5 lengths.<\/p>\n

Yes, he’s up a big-looking 10lbs for that success – but was super-impressive and with only seven career runs should have more improvement still to come. The yard remains in tip-top order too and looks well worth a crack at this slightly higher level.<\/p>\n

Of the rest, Tribal Chief was slowly away in the Golden Mile here at the start of the month but ran on well to by 6th and only beaten three lengths. He’s down a pound and with a better start looks interesting for the David Menuisier team.<\/p>\n

While the final one to have on your radar is Organ.<\/p>\n

He didn’t seem to stay last time over 1m2f, but before that won three on the bounce – including over this CD in June. Colin Keane catches the eye in the plate and the Martyn Meade team boast a solid 50% (2-4) SR with their 3 year-olds at the track.<\/p>\n

He just looks a bit over-priced based on one poor run, that was clearly over a trip too far.<\/p>\n

2:25 Goodwood – Virgin Bet Prestige Fillies’ Stakes (Group 3) Cl1 (2yo) 7f ITV<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Trainer Aidan O’Brien has never won this race but with a 29% SR with his 2 year-olds at the track – his Prescise will draw the eye with Wayne Lordan coming over to ride.<\/p>\n

She won on her second start at Cork earlier this month and has some fancy Group entries later in the season – including the Moyglare Stud Stakes and Fillies’ Mile.<\/p>\n

CD winner Aylin has that track experience to her name after winning here at the Glorious Meeting – but it’s worth noting that came on heavy ground. She does, however, represent the Karl Burke yard, who won this in 2023.<\/p>\n

But another stable that have taken this pot in the past is Sir Mark Prescott – they landed the race way back in 1996 with Red Camellia for Cheveley Park.<\/p>\n

And they try again with the same owners with the unbeaten MOON TARGET, who will be popular with the horse racing betting sites<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This Cracksman filly has won her starts at Newmarket and Yarmouth in impressive fashion – the last by 7 1\/2 lengths at the start of August.<\/p>\n

Yes, this is a step up in grade, but she’s a taking filly that looks worth sticking with and is already as low as 14\/1 for the G1 Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket in October.<\/p>\n

Of the rest, Jennifer Jane was only just chinned on the line in a Listed race last time over this trip and is shortlist too.<\/p>\n

3:00 Goodwood – Livescorebet Handicap Cl2 (3yo+ 0-105) 6f ITV<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Just the six runners here for this handicap over 6f and you can make a case for most.<\/p>\n

The star on show is the Royal Ascot Wokingham winner Get It, but he’s since flopped to be last here in the Stewards’ Cup and need to bounce back.<\/p>\n

The better ground will certainly suit though, but off a mark of 104 is off a career-high at the moment. Oh, and the George Baker yard are only 3-63 (4%) with their 4+ year-olds at the track.<\/p>\n

The only 3 year-old Flash Harry is unexposed and was a fair third in the Shergar Cup a few weeks ago over this trip. But despite having more room for improvement, his lack of experience is a worry too.<\/p>\n

Old boy Intervention is the only recent winner in the field but is up another 5lbs.<\/p>\n

But it’s interesting Robert Cowell runs two – Alaskan Gold and JAKAJARO.<\/p>\n

Both are respected, but the former last won in 2023 and is nine runs without a win, plus has had three different trainers in that time.<\/p>\n

Jakajaro, however, ran a blinder to be third in the Stewards’ Cup last time out and is only up a pound (watch below).<\/p>\n

Billy Loughnane takes over in the saddle too and having been rated in the 100’s earlier this year and last season looks well-treated off 97 still.<\/p>\n
