However, with the sprinting division throwing up many shocks this season &#8211; are there any big Sprint Cup trends against the hot-pot favourite?<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Will We See Another &#8216;Sprint Shock&#8217; In Saturday&#8217;s Haydock Sprint Cup?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Not one horse has really taken the Sprint division in Europe by the scruff of the neck this season.<\/p>\n<p>So far the big British Group One races have seen 66\/1, 25\/1, 16\/1, 11\/1 and 9\/2 winners &#8211; so anyone siding with Lazzat, who is a warm order with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/betting-sites\/horse-racing\/\">horse racing betting sites<\/a> this weekend, might have some concerns.<\/p>\n<p>Oh and don&#8217;t forget &#8211; last year&#8217;s Sprint Cup winner Montassib also returned 25\/1 &#8211; so don&#8217;t be put off too much if your fancy is a bigger price.<\/p>\n<p>This Jerome Reynier-trained 4 year-old is the top-rated in the Sprint Cup field (120) and was impressive in winning the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.<\/p>\n<p>However, like a lot of sprinters in Europe this season &#8211; Lazzat failed to back that win up, when losing at odds-on next time in the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville.<\/p>\n<p>That said, this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/the-rise-of-wathnan-racing-who-is-the-owner-stable-jockey-and-colours\/\">Wathnan Racing<\/a> star has still won eight of his 12 career starts (67%) and has bounced back in the past.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Lazzat Looks To Become The First French-Trained Sprint Cup Winner Since 2008<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Lazzat will also be trying to become the first French-trained Sprint Cup winner since the Criqutte Head-Maarek-trained African Rose won this in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>While prior to that it was the John Hammond runner Nuclear Debate that won this prize for the French.<\/p>\n<p>Meaning since 2000 we&#8217;ve only seen two winners from France take this &#8211; with a massive 17 of the last 23 winners NOT winning last time out.<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned, he was beaten (2nd) last time out &#8211; so maybe not winning last time was the plan!<\/p>\n<p>Other horses that WON last time out are &#8211; No Half Measures, Sky Majesty and James&#8217;s Delight.<\/p>\n<p>While favourites have won 30% (7 of the last 23) runnings &#8211; meaning he&#8217;s likely to figure in many weekend <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/betting-guides\/super-yankee-bet\/\">super yankee bets<\/a> and accas.<\/p>\n<p>With 18 of the last 23 winners also aged 5 or younger, this is another plus for the 4 year-old Lazzat.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, four of the last 23 winners also raced at Deauville last time out &#8211; another tick for the French favourite.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Sprint Cup Trends That Could Be Against Lazzat<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>First up is the <strong>draw<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As with 17 of the last 23 winners draw in stalls five or higher, this is something to note.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, last year&#8217;s winner Montassib came from gate 2, but before that the winners came from 13, 7, 6, 11 and 6.<\/p>\n<p>But even here there is a small word of caution that this trend might be turning with six of the last 10 winners coming from stalls six or lower.<\/p>\n<p>While 7 of the last 10 winners came between stalls 4-8 &#8211; which might be a plus for Annaf, Beauvatier, Inisherin and James&#8217;s Delight.<\/p>\n<p>The race has also only seen stall 1 struggle &#8211; which would be a negative for the Richard Hughes-trained Sayidah Dariyan.<\/p>\n<p>Lazzat has been handed STALL 10 &#8211; so with 80% of the last 10 winners coming from stalls 8 or lower, could this be a stat AGAINST the French speedster?<\/p>\n<p>Next is <strong>previous form<\/strong> at Haydock.<\/p>\n<p>To be honest, if you are against Lazzat &#8211; this might be the only real trend you can cling to.<\/p>\n<p>As 11 of the last 23 winners of this race had run at Haydock in the past &#8211; with five winning.<\/p>\n<p>Lazzat will be running at Haydock for the first time and only for the second time in Britain.
