McIlroy’s sole success in the Irish Open came in 2016 and with that win also coming here at the K Club, the world number two is sure to have many backers this week.<\/p>\n

However, Hatton comes here having finished outside the top 20 in his last four LIV golf tournaments and you feel the Englishman now has his focus on the Ryder Cup at the end of the month.<\/p>\n

Hatton automatically qualified for the 2025 Ryder Cup European team and will join Luke Donald’s six captain’s picks<\/a> that were announced earlier this week.<\/p>\n

While Penge is playing well but is in action at the K Club for the first time and the concern for him is a lack of a break – with this being his fifth straight event in as many weeks.<\/p>\n

It goes without saying that playing in front of his home fans will be a big boost too, plus Lowry has winning form in this event – when taking the pot in 2009 as an amateur.<\/p>\n

The further plus for backing Shane Lowry as your main Irish Open golf betting tip, is he’s a master in dire weather conditions.<\/p>\n

The world number 23 is well-known for being able to cope with wet and windy conditions – especially having grown up playing in Ireland.<\/p>\n
