Arsenal Women begin their 2025\/26 Women’s Super League (WSL) campaign with a clash against newly promoted London City Lionesses on Saturday.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Arsenal Women finished second in the WSL title race last season, 12 points behind champions Chelsea.<\/p>\n London City Lionesses won the Women’s Super League 2 in 2024\/25 to qualify for the top flight for the first time in their history.<\/p>\n Chelsea were the most dominant team in the WSL last season, amassing a record 60 points from 22 matches. However, in Europe, Arsenal came out on top, beating Barcelona 1-0 in the final, thanks to Stina Blackstenius’ strike. It marked their first European triumph since 2009.<\/p>\n Renee Slegers, who joined the club in January 2025, will oversee her first full season this term.
