Bolivia used altitude to their advantage to beat the mighty Brazil 1-0 in their final FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifier on Tuesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n The victory, combined with Venezuela’s loss to Colombia, allowed Bolivia to become CONMEBOL’s representative for next year’s inter-confederation World Cup play-offs. They finished seventh in the rankings with 20 points from 18 games, registering a goal difference of -18.<\/p>\n A six-team play-off tournament, comprising one team each from CONMEBOL, OFC, AFC, CAF, and two from CONCACAF, will determine the last two FIFA World Cup spots. The four lower-ranked teams in the FIFA World Rankings will play single-elimination matches.
