With the transfer window closed, we’re comparing Premier League net spend to major trophies won for all 20 current top-flight clubs.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There’s a constant argument between rival sets of fans over who has spent the most and received the worst return for their investment.<\/p>\n

Some argue that successful clubs only won trophies by splashing ridiculous sums of money.<\/p>\n

Others will laugh at rivals for having a massive net spend with nothing to show for it.<\/p>\n

As it stands, Liverpool are 7\/5 favourites with football betting sites<\/strong><\/a> to win the Premier League again, but rival fans will argue their \u00a3415 million spend this summer means they are buying success.<\/p>\n

So we at SportsCasting<\/em> decided to settle the debate once and for all, and find out which clubs have the worst ratio of net spend to trophies won over the past decade.<\/p>\n

Premier League Net Spend Per Major Trophy<\/h2>\n

For this investigation, we have compared the total net spend for all 20 current Premier League clubs over the last 10 years with the number of major trophies won.<\/p>\n

While we acknowledge that there is some debate over what constitutes a ‘major’ trophy, we are only counting the following:<\/p>\n
