The Tottenham vs Arsenal referee has been announced as Jarred Gillett – leaving a plethora of Gunners fans furious with the decision.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Many were quick to voice their concerns at the appointment on X<\/em>, formerly Twitter<\/em>. Amazingly, the north London derby will be the second time this season that Gillett has officiated an Arsenal fixture in the Premier League<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Last year, supporters blasted Gillett for failing to allow a Kai Havertz equaliser in the 1-0 defeat away to Aston Villa. Naturally, fans have not forgotten about the incident.<\/p>\n

Sunday’s clash will see Darren Cann and James Mainwaring employed as Gillett’s assistants. Robert Jones will act as fourth official with VAR duties falling to Stuart Attwell and Constantine Hatzidakis.<\/p>\n

    Tottenham Vs Arsenal Referee Announced As Jarred Gillett<\/h2>\n

    The appointment of Jarred Gillett as the Tottenham vs Arsenal<\/a> referee will see the Australian official come under the spotlight once again.<\/p>\n

    Overseeing the north London derby is certainly not a role for the faint-hearted. However, Gillett is regarded as one of the Premier League’s ‘better’ officials.<\/p>\n

    However, fans of the Gunners will be quick to disagree. Not only did the Kai Havertz incident at Villa Park in 2023\/24 infuriate supporters, the same player fell victim to Gillett on the opening weekend of this season.<\/p>\n

    During the clash with Wolves, Colombian centre-back Yerson Mosquera appeared to choke the German which went unnoticed by Gillett.<\/p>\n
