More ITV Racing action this weekend, including at horse racing’s flat HQ – so Andy Newton is back with his Newmarket horse racing tips and 1-2-3 best bets for the main races, with a well-backed selection for the main betting contest – the Cesarewitch Handicap.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

ITV Horse Racing Tips: Five LIVE Races At Newmarket On Saturday<\/b><\/h2>\n

There are five more races being shown LIVE on the ITV Racing schedule<\/a> this Saturday from day two of the Dubai Future Champions Festival at Newmarket.<\/p>\n

We get going with the Darley Stakes (1:15pm) – a race trainer John Gosden has won twice in the last four years and has another strong chance with Damysus.<\/p>\n

On the day we’ve also got the Zetland Stakes (1:50pm) and Autumn Stakes (2:25pm) – but the big Group One contest is the Dewhurst Stakes (3:00pm).<\/p>\n

This race has produced many top winners over the years, including most recently the 2024 Epsom Derby hero City Of Troy.<\/p>\n

It looks another crackerjack of a race this year too – With top juveniles Gstaad, Zavateri and Distant Storm all locking horns.<\/p>\n

Away from these 2 year-old races at Newmarket, the big betting race on the day is the Cesarewitch Handicap, where last year’s controversial winner Alphonse Le Grande will be looking to become the first ever ‘back-to-back’<\/em> Cesarewitch winner<\/a>.<\/p>\n

1:15 Newmarket \u2013 Too Darn Hot Darley Stakes (Group 3) Cl1 (3yo+) 1m1f ITV<\/h3>\n

Liberty Lane was a fine second in this last year and does like the track here with form figures of 2-28-1-1-2 – with his only blot (28th) in the Cambridgeshire in 2023.<\/p>\n

He’s the joint-top rated in the field with First Conquest and is respected for connections that have had several big Saturdays in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

The negative though is he’s still looking for a first win higher that Listed level – but is very much respected.<\/p>\n

Gladius ran will at York in the Strensall Stakes last time (close 4th) and the form of that has been franked with the second Boiling Point winning since.<\/p>\n

He had a busy summer this season, and a 49-day break is a plus.<\/p>\n

But the call here is DAMYSUS<\/strong>, who comes from the John Gosden yard that have won this race twice in the last four years.<\/p>\n

He ran second in the Dante Stakes back in May and even though at the time that looks ed a poor renewal, the form has been boosted since with the winner Pride Of Arras winning the Great Voltigeur.<\/p>\n

Yes, he flopped in the Epsom Derby in June but didn’t stay that day and bounced back with a top win in France last time out over 1m2f – suggesting the trip here (1m 1f) will be perfect again.<\/p>\n
