Five-time major champion Rory McIlroy could be set for a permanent move back to the UK, with reports he and his family have no plans of living in America anymore.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This comes after McIlroy and his wife Erica Stoll were subject to lots of abuse at the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black last month.<\/p>\n

Is Rory McIlroy Leaving America To Permanently Live In The UK?<\/h2>\n

After the abuse Rory McIlroy received from American fans at the Ryder Cup, speculation has been mounting that he might up sticks and move back to the UK permanently.<\/p>\n

The Northern Irishman played a huge part in improving Team Europe’s Ryder Cup record when playing in America<\/a> with a 15-13 victory at Bethpage Black.<\/p>\n

However, after receiving non-stop abuse for the full three days of golf in New York, there has been talk of McIlroy and his wife Erica Stoll permanently leaving America and returning to the UK.<\/p>\n

McIlroy bought a Wentworth mansion in Surrey over 18 months ago, officially moving into it earlier this year. However, the golf star still owns a residence in Jupiter, Florida.<\/p>\n

With McIlroy born and raised in Northern Ireland, moving home or to somewhere else in the UK is easy. However, McIlroy’s wife Erica is American and from New York, so moving their entire family out of the US mightn’t be an easy task.<\/p>\n

McIlroy was subject to an unwavering amount of vitriol from Team USA supporters at the 45th Ryder Cup, with his wife Erica also getting caught up in the chaos.<\/p>\n

Rory and Lowry had just won on 18 and he was coming back to 17 to cheer on the groups behind \u2014 and celebrate with Euro fans.<\/p>\n
