While Sunderland had to qualify through play-offs, Burnley and Leeds secured automatic qualification via the league route.<\/p>\n<p>Seven matches into the new season, the Black Cats have by far been the best of the promoted trio, scoring 11 points from nine matches (W 3, D 2, L 2).<\/p>\n<p>Burnley, on the other hand, have struggled the most, having lost five of their seven matches (W 1, D 1). Both teams finished on 100 points, but the Whites had a much superior goal difference (65 to 53).<\/p>\n<p>This season, too, Leeds have fared better than Burnley, scoring eight points from seven games, double what Burnley have achieved.<\/p>\n<p>Their recent form, however, is also quite concerning. Like Burnley, Leeds have also won just one of their last six games in the Premier League (D 3, L 2). Owing to Leeds United&#8217;s poor run of form, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/premier-league-s\u2026e-odds-2025-2026\/\">Premier League sack race odds<\/a> suggest Farke&#8217;s job is under threat.<\/p>\n<p>It is still early days, so table positioning is not as important. In their 63 meetings, Leeds have won 30 times, Burnley 19 times, while 14 games have ended all square. Lastly, Leeds United have only lost in one of their last six meetings with the Clarets (W 3, D 2).<\/p>\n<h3>Total Goals Over 1.5 \u2013 2\/5<\/h3>\n<p>Burnley and Leeds United have both leaked goals this season. While the hosts have conceded 15, the away side have let in 11, suggesting there would be goals in this one.<\/p>\n<p>Burnley have conceded at least one goal in their last seven games across competitions. In the Premier League, they have only kept one clean sheet. Leeds United, who have a slightly better defence, have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last four games.
