I love watching it as much as the next person, but this can\u2019t be real.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Another added: &#8220;If this happens there needs to be an absolute boycott of the Champions League.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>While a third simply said: &#8220;Game&#8217;s absolutely gone.&#8221;<\/p>\n<h2>Who Is In Contention For UEFA Media Rights Deals?<\/h2>\n<p>According to a UC3 press statement, Relevant Football Partners was \u201cpurpose-built to commercialise the UEFA Men\u2019s Club Competitions globally.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This latest tender is thought to show a change in direction from UEFA.<\/p>\n<p>There is now a concerted effort to target digital streaming platforms, rather than traditional broadcasters.<\/p>\n<p>This means the likes of Apple, Netflix and Amazon Prime and among those UC3 are most keen to work with.<\/p>\n<p>The new rights cycle will begin in 2027-28, commencing with a standalone opening fixture on a Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p>It will see the defending Champions League holders play a home game, with talk of a Superbowl-style opening ceremony.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">UEFA announces new blockbuster match to kick off Champions League &#8211;
