The latest Arne Slot press conference saw the Liverpool boss close down a reporter’s question when he was asked about player contract situations becoming a distraction.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking ahead of the clash with Nottingham Forest, Slot was quick to admit it’s becoming ‘boring’ talking about the futures of his star players.<\/p>\n

In the summer, Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold can all leave the club for free if new terms aren’t agreed.<\/p>\n

Naturally, Slot and the Anfield hierarchy will be desperate to keep the trio. Van Dijk<\/a> has been coy on his future for club and country in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

Alexander-Arnold is arguably the most important player of the three. Especially when you consider their ages with the England man just getting into his prime.<\/p>\n

Before the stunning 3-0 victory against Manchester United, Salah<\/a> admitted he isn’t thinking about his future. The Egyptian winger has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.<\/p>\n

Arne Slot press conference: “It’s again, the boring answer, we don’t talk about contracts here. Is it a distraction? No, it isn’t, I am fully focused on the individuals and the team to work with them to get the best possible out of them. It’s not a distraction for me at all.”<\/p>\n

The Dutchman is clearly becoming fed up with being asked about the star trio’s future. However, Slot remains adamant that the situation won’t hinder him or his Liverpool side.<\/p>\n
