The pair played out a scrappy first half at the Vitality, in which the hosting Cherries had the chance to open the scoring from the spot due to a mistimed challenge from Robert Sanchez, however the Spanish goalkeeper made up for his error and kept honours even heading into the break.<\/p>\n

Sancho’s introduction at the midway point completely changed the dynamic of the game for Chelsea and sparked some life into their play. His willingness to take on the defenders worked wonders for the visitors, and Enzo Maresca’s faith in the 23-time England international paid dividends in the 86th minute.<\/p>\n

Linking up with fellow second-half substitute, Sancho played a neat pass to the feet of Nkunku, who turned three Bournemouth players and slotted into the bottom right corner, ensuring that all three points returned to West London.<\/p>\n
