Newcastle United are plotting a sensational move for ex-Manchester City star Leroy Sane, who could be available on a free transfer next summer.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leroy Sane Wanted By Magpies<\/h2>\n

The German forward has just 10 months left on his deal at Bayern Munich, but the club are in talks with Sane over a contract extension.<\/p>\n

However, it is believed that if the ex-Premier League<\/a> man wants to remain in Germany then he will have to take a pay cut.<\/p>\n

With the 28-year-old’s future up in the air, Newcastle have emerged as one of the clubs to be interested in his signature. Arsenal<\/a> and Liverpool are also monitoring the situation.<\/p>\n

The Magpies were in the market for a new winger over the summer, and lodged a late \u00a350m bid for Nottingham Forest’s Anthony Elanga on deadline day, which was rejected.<\/p>\n

Sane is a player with plenty of Premier League experience behind him, having made 135 appearances for City during his time in England. He managed to score 39 goals, registering a further 43 assists and won two league titles and two FA Cups during the final year of his contract at the Etihad.<\/p>\n

He has impressed during his time in the Bundesliga too, notching 48 goals and 50 assists in 175 games for Bayern. Sane signed for them in July 2020 for an initial \u00a345m with \u00a315m in add-ons. He also has 65 caps for Germany, scoring 13 goals in the process and was in their recent Euro 2024 squad.<\/p>\n
