Some Liverpool fans have called for Arne Slot’s sacking after their humiliating 4-1 defeat to PSV Eindhoven at Anfield on Wednesday night.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The shocking loss in the Champions League comes days after the Reds lost 3-0 at home to Nottingham Forest last weekend.<\/p>\n

As a result, Arne Slot’s side are now in 12th place in both the Champions League and the Premier League tables.<\/p>\n

Liverpool’s dreadful league run has placed their title defence among the worst in Premier League history<\/a> after 12 rounds.<\/p>\n

This has also seen the bookmakers push their odds on winning both competitions out.<\/p>\n

Liverpool are now 28\/1 to win the Premier League and 12\/1 in the outright Champions League betting odds<\/a> market.<\/p>\n

Liverpool are on their worst run in 71 years<\/h2>\n

Liverpool enjoyed a strong start to the 2025\/26 season, winning their first seven games in all competitions. Although their performances were underwhelming by their lofty standards, fans backed Arne Slot to sort out the issues.<\/p>\n

Their confidence in the manager has taken a hit over the last two months.<\/p>\n

Liverpool have lost nine of their previous 12 matches in all competitions (W 3) and are on a three-game losing run.<\/p>\n

At Anfield, they have conceded seven goals in their last two matches, scoring just one.<\/p>\n

Following the 4-1 defeat to PSV, the Reds are in the midst of their worst run in 71 years.<\/p>\n

They last lost nine games (from 12) in the 1953\/54 season under Don Welsh.<\/p>\n

And Liverpool have not lost by a margin of three or more goals in three consecutive matches since December 1953.<\/p>\n

Fans want Arne Slot sacked after PSV defeat<\/h2>\n

Following Liverpool\u2019s defeat to PSV, some fans on X (formerly Twitter) have called for the club to sack Arne Slot.<\/p>\n

Renowned Liverpool fan club @AnfieldEdition wrote:<\/p>\n

“We’ll always be grateful for last season, but this has to be the end now.<\/em><\/p>\n

“A Liverpool manager cannot lose nine out of 12 games. A Liverpool manager cannot concede 4 goals to PSV at Anfield, or 3 goals to Nottingham Forest. A Liverpool manager cannot be sat in 12th place.<\/em><\/p>\n

“There are absolutely no signs he is going to turn it around, and, if anything, it’s just going to get worse<\/em>.”<\/p>\n
