The American took to social media to announce he will face the Irishman on the South Lawn at UFC White House on June 14.<\/span><\/p>\n UFC lightweight contender Michael Chandler has all but confirmed that he will be facing fierce rival Conor McGregor on June 14 at UFC White House.<\/span><\/p>\n It still remains to be seen who will <\/span>headline UFC White House<\/span><\/a> next summer, but McGregor vs Chandler is certainly a fight worthy of the main event slot on star power alone.<\/span><\/p>\n McGregor hasn\u2019t competed inside the UFC octagon since July 2021. The last time we saw the Irishman in action was when he broke his leg in his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier, which saw him lose back-to-back fights for the very first time in his MMA career.<\/span><\/p>\n Ever since then, McGregor has teased a return to the octagon, but is yet to fulfil his promise. That is until now, with the former two-division UFC king reportedly back in full training as he prepares for a return at UFC White House.<\/span><\/p>\n UFC President Dana White has not yet confirmed any fights for the UFC event on the South Lawn of the White House next summer, but has hinted that McGregor is a front-runner to headline the event.<\/span><\/p>\n If he is to headline, the only real logical opponent is Chandler.
