Tottenham and Wales winger Brennan Johnson has deactivated his Instagram account after being heavily criticised for his performance in Spurs’ North London derby defeat to Arsenal on Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Brennan Johnson Deactivates Instagram<\/h2>\n

After suffering defeat in the North London derby<\/a> against bitter rivals Arsenal on Sunday afternoon, Tottenham winger Brennan Johnson has deactivated his @brenjohnson_ Instagram account. It comes following a barrage of online abuse aimed at the Wales international.<\/p>\n

Despite numerous absentees for the Gunners, Spurs were unable to take advantage and fell to a third successive home defeat against Mikel Arteta<\/a>‘s side thanks to Gabriel’s bullet header in the second period.<\/p>\n

Johnson, who joined the North London side from Nottingham Forest in a move worth close to \u00a350 million in September 2023, featured on the right side of the attack, regaining his starting berth from Wilson Odobert.<\/p>\n

But after failing to cause the visitors’ defence any real problems across his 68-minute cameo, Johnson has been on the end of mass criticism from Tottenham fans and pundits, and he’s now seemingly had enough.<\/p>\n

The 23-year-old limited his comments on Instagram after suffering online abuse back in January, but has now taken it one step further, deactivating his account altogether.<\/p>\n

Jamie O’Hara Slams ‘Frustrating’ Johnson<\/h2>\n

Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara, who was in attendance at Sunday’s North London derby, shared his frustration with the winger on his X (formerly Twitter) account.<\/p>\n

“Brennan Johnson is even more frustrating to watch in the flesh than he is on TV.” he tweeted.<\/p>\n

O’Hara continued in a follow-up post: “He never shows for the ball he hides behind the Arsenal player, he\u2019s never an option watching him live it\u2019s unbelievable how much he hides.”<\/p>\n
