The Carlos and Yann Lerner-trained Look De Vega, who landed the 2024 French Derby, has been dislodged at the head of the 2024 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe market after running only third in the Prix Niel Stakes on 15th September.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sosie The New Arc Favourite After Impressive Prix Niel Win<\/strong><\/h2>\n

There is a new horse at the head of the 2024 Prix de l’Arc Triomphe<\/strong> market after the previous fancy with the best UK horse racing betting sites<\/a> Look De Vega was toppled in the Prix Niel on September 15th at Longchamp.<\/p>\n

Having made much of the running, Look De Vega was outgunned over the final two furlongs of the Arc Trial – despite having every chance to win the race – with the Andr\u00e9 Fabre-trained Sosie<\/strong> outstaying him to win by 1 1\/2 lengths (watch below).<\/p>\n

Delius was back in second, with Look De Vega fading into third.<\/p>\n

Sosie Was Winning His Four Carer Race<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Sosie was winning his fourth career race (from 6) – having previously seen off the recent St Leger runner-up Illinois in the Grand Prix de Paris in the middle of July.<\/p>\n

Andre Fabre, who trains Sosie also knows a thing or two about winning the Arc – he’s the record-winning handler with a staggering eight successes in the Longchamp Group One.<\/p>\n

Look De Vega is now the general second favourite in the 2024 Arc market, with the Aidan O’Brien-trained Irish Derby winner Los Angeles next best and the Japan runner Shin Emperor, who was third in the Irish Champions Stakes, also prominent.<\/p>\n
