Crystal Palace will target Getafe boss Jos\u00e9 Bordal\u00e1s with Oliver Glasner to decide against extending his contract with the club.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The highly-rated Austrian’s deal at Selhurst Park expires at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Glasner is admired by chiefs at Manchester United and Tottenham, and is the favourite to replace Ruben Amorim<\/a> should the Portuguese lose his job.<\/p>\n

He’ll also be on Chelsea’s shortlist after Enzo Maresca cast doubt<\/a> on his future at the weekend.<\/p>\n

Crystal Palace identify Oliver Glasner replacement<\/h2>\n

According to Spanish publication Cadena SER, Palace are already planning for the future without Glasner by taking an interest in Bordal\u00e1s.<\/p>\n

The Getafe manager, 61, would be interested in fulfilling an ambition to manage in the Premier League, and the club’s project aligns with his wishes.<\/p>\n

Bordal\u00e1s spent most of his managerial career in the Spanish second division but has seen his reputation rise during his two spells with Getafe.<\/p>\n

He took charge in 2016 after guiding Alaves to top-flight promotion, and earned promotion once again at the first time of asking.<\/p>\n

Bordal\u00e1s would then massively exceed expectations by finishing fifth in LaLiga, narrowly missing out on the Champions League and winning Coach of the Year.<\/p>\n

A move to Valencia followed, which included a Copa Del Rey final defeat. However, his spell was short-lived when new owner Peter Lim opted to head in a different direction by appointing Gennaro Gattuso.<\/p>\n

Bordal\u00e1s then returned to Getafe in April 2023, ensuring survival and establishing them as a top-flight side.<\/p>\n

In September, the BBC noted that he boasts the third-highest number of wins in Spanish football history for a manager across the top three divisions.<\/p>\n

He demands intensity in his play and prioritises structure in his tactics.<\/p>\n

Glasner availability will put top clubs on alert<\/h2>\n

Numerous top clubs may have to make a big decision at the end of the season, with Glasner’s availability becoming increasingly inevitable.<\/p>\n

United have shown loyalty to Amorim during numerous rough periods, and they have shown glimpses that he is slowly starting to turn the tide, with one defeat in their last 10 league matches.<\/p>\n

They will likely wait until the end of the season before making a decision, and the same could be said for Tottenham.<\/p>\n

Thomas Frank is under pressure<\/a>, having struggled to get his new side firing. The Dane has demanded time to implement his own squad, and the club are likely to remain patient.<\/p>\n

However, there’s a growing frustration among supporters after numerous inept performances, which will only intensify if they don’t see improvement between now and May.<\/p>\n

Arne Slot has credit in the bank at Liverpool after last season’s achievements, but his position remains relatively precarious.<\/p>\n
