{"id":73772,"date":"2025-12-17T13:40:14","date_gmt":"2025-12-17T13:40:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/?p=73772"},"modified":"2025-12-17T13:40:14","modified_gmt":"2025-12-17T13:40:14","slug":"anthony-joshua-ko-jake-paul-polymarket","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/anthony-joshua-ko-jake-paul-polymarket\/","title":{"rendered":"Anthony Joshua Uses Polymarket To Back Up KO Prediction Over Jake Paul"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Anthony Joshua has turned to the power of Polymarket to back up his prediction of a knockout win against Jake Paul in Miami on Friday evening.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The two-time unified heavyweight champion will throw hands against YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul at the 20,000-capacity Kaseya Centre.<\/p>\n<p>The professional bout dubbed \u2018Judgment Day\u2019 will be streamed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.netflix.com\/tudum\/articles\/jake-vs-joshua-uk-start-time\">live on Netflix<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fight fans don&#8217;t appear so keen to attend in person with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/tickets-unsold-jake-paul-anthony-joshua\/\">thousands of tickets left unsold<\/a> ahead of the heavyweight clash.<\/p>\n<p>Paul, 28, has generally fought at cruiserweight, although he did step up a division to beat a then 58-year-old Mike Tyson in November last year.<\/p>\n<p>Joshua, 36, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportscasting.com\/uk\/news\/anthony-joshua-chilling-threat-jake-paul\/\">issued a chilling threat to Paul<\/a>, saying he will win by knockout in the opening rounds.<\/p>\n<p>He has used prediction markets heavyweight Polymarket to back up his claim on social media.<\/p>\n<h2>Anthony Joshua And Polymarket<\/h2>\n<p>On Monday, Joshua posted a screen grab of a <a href=\"https:\/\/polymarket.com\/event\/boxing-jake-paul-vs-anthony-joshua-third-option-included?tid=1765979368798\">Polymarket prediction market<\/a> on X.<\/p>\n<p>It showed he was being backed at 73% to win by a knockout, technical knockout or a disqualification.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">100% loading\u2026 \ud83d\udd25 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/TQDxHFuQbd\">pic.twitter.com\/TQDxHFuQbd<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Anthony Joshua (@anthonyjoshua) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/anthonyjoshua\/status\/2000731043515490712?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 16, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>There was no indication that it was a sponsored tweet as his caption read simply: \u201c100% loading.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It wasn&#8217;t the first time the British Boxer had utilised Polymarket as a visual aid though.<\/p>\n<p>On December 10 Joshua tagged Polymarket\u2019s official account in a tweet that included a custom-made graphic.<\/p>\n<p>It showed the Watford Warrior in front of a Polymarket graph and included the hashtags #poweredbypolymarket and #ad.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PolymarketSport?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@PolymarketSport<\/a> x AJ \ud83d\udcc8<\/p>\n<p>Markets don\u2019t lie.
