Marcus Rashford has one wish for Christmas this year, and it’s to become a permanent player at Barcelona.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The England international has rejuvenated his career since leaving Manchester United for the Nou Camp in the summer.<\/p>\n

Rashford moved to the Catalan giants on loan, with an option to make the move permanent for \u00a330million at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

The 28-year-old has scored twice and assisted eight in LaLiga, contributing to another four goals in the Champions League.<\/p>\n

Marcus Rashford discusses his future<\/h2>\n

For Rashford, the opportunity to stay at Barcelona beyond the season is a no-brainer.<\/p>\n

When asked by Spanish publication Sport, he said: “Of course, what I want is to stay at Bar\u00e7a.<\/p>\n

“It’s the ultimate goal, but it’s not the reason I’m training hard and giving my all. The purpose is to win. Bar\u00e7a is a huge, fantastic club, built to win titles.<\/p>\n

“I’m settling in really well at the club and in the city. From the moment I arrived, I felt very welcomed.<\/p>\n

“For me, the reason I’m here is to help the team win trophies; last season was fantastic, but life moves very fast, things change, and the goal is to repeat those successes.<\/p>\n

“I’m totally focused on that. Everything has been fantastic with the staff and my teammates; I have no complaints.”<\/p>\n

Rashford left his boyhood club under a cloud following a disagreement with management and accusations that he had downtooled on the pitch.<\/p>\n

He added: “I can’t be in a place where there aren’t high expectations; for me, it’s harder to stay motivated and give my best at a club where the demands aren’t at their peak.<\/p>\n

“I’m in the perfect place and environment to continue my journey as a footballer, so I’m just trying to give my best every day and help the team win. We’ll see what happens next summer.”<\/p>\n

Manchester United transfer news<\/h2>\n

Joshua Zirkzee is closing in on a move to Roma<\/a> after the two clubs reportedly reached an agreement over the weekend.<\/p>\n

The Dutchman will move to Rome on loan with an obligation to buy if the club secures Champions League football.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s remained on the periphery of the first team this season, with Ruben Amorim starting him in just four league games.<\/p>\n

United are also looking to bolster their midfield and have targeted Bournemouth’s Alex Scott.<\/a><\/p>\n

The Cherries and former Bristol City team-mate Antoine Semenyo is also a target, and will have plenty of suitors in the first two weeks of the January window.<\/p>\n
