The Daily Mail\u00a0<\/em>report that Manchester United are considering a move for James Garner.<\/p>\n

Garner came through the ranks at United as a youngster, spending time out on loan at Watford and Nottingham Forest before departing permanently for Everton back in 2022.<\/p>\n

He is now being linked with a surprise return to Old Trafford, with the Red Devils in the market for a new midfielder in January ahead of a complete overhaul in the summer.<\/p>\n

It comes amid question marks over the long-term futures of Casemiro, Toby Collyer, Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo and Manuel Ugarte, who have all been linked with moves away.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old’s contract at the Hill Dickinson Stadium expires at the end of the season, therefore he could be available for a relatively low fee during the January transfer window.<\/p>\n

As revealed in Tuesday’s transfer roundup<\/a> earlier this week, United are also interested in Premier League quartet Alex Scott, Adam Wharton, Carlos Baleba and Elliot Anderson.<\/p>\n

Tonali is dubbed a ‘top target’ for Luciano Spalletti’s side.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old, who joined the Magpies from AC Milan for a reported \u20ac70m in 2023, has two-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract at St. James’ Park.<\/p>\n

It is claimed that Tonali is ‘open’ to a return to his native Italy.<\/p>\n

Rumours linking the midfield general with a move away come amid a poor spell of form for the Tyneside club, as they have now won just one of their last five in all competitions.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0talkSPORT<\/em>, Bobb could depart the Etihad Stadium in January should Manchester City complete the signing of in-demand Bournemouth star Antoine Semenyo.<\/p>\n
