West Ham have gone backwards since replacing Graham Potter with Nuno Espirito Santo at the end of September.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nuno is fighting for his job at the Hammers ahead of a huge relegation six-pointer with his former club Nottingham Forest on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n

Defeat could see West Ham chiefs identifying their third manager of the season, with Nuno leading the way in the Premier League sack race.<\/a><\/p>\n

With two wins from 15 matches in charge, West Ham will be seven points adrift of safety if they face another defeat.<\/p>\n

While their dismal form is firmly in the spotlight, there are also reports that Nuno is quickly losing the support of his players.<\/a><\/p>\n

Nuno Espirito Santo vs Graham Potter – West Ham form<\/h2>\n

Nuno was hired by West Ham with a solid track record in the Premier League of consistency and guiding teams up the table.<\/p>\n

He did a brilliant job with Nottingham Forest, ensuring survival on the final day of the season in his first campaign before leading the club to a seventh-place finish and European qualification.<\/p>\n

His remit at West Ham was to keep them away from the relegation places following a disastrous 23-game spell under former boss Potter.<\/p>\n

However, the stats show that the club have regressed further since Nuno took the reins.<\/p>\n

Regarding average points per game, goals, goals conceded, possession and expected goals against, the numbers are all worse under their current manager.<\/p>\n

Nuno is averaging 0.73 points per game, compared to Potter’s one. His 1.07 goals per game is less than the former’s 1.17.<\/p>\n

Defensively, West Ham have been a shambles. They’re conceding an average of 1.87 goals per game compared to Potter’s 1.57.<\/p>\n

They currently have the worst defensive record in the Premier League, conceding a staggering 41 goals in 20 matches.<\/p>\n

Potter’s possession stats were 49.9% while they sit at 41.1% under Nuno.<\/p>\n

West Ham’s expected goals against have also risen from 1.39 to 1.78 since the managerial change.<\/p>\n

When West Ham sacked Potter, they released a statement stating that “results and performances over the course of the second half of last season and the start of the 2025\/26 season have not matched expectations.”<\/p>\n

Arguably, results and performances have deteriorated even further, and the evidence suggests that Nuno could be out of a job unless they can spark a turnaround in form against Forest.<\/p>\n

Former boss Slaven Bilic is currently the favourite in the\u00a0next West Ham manager odds<\/a>\u00a0market.<\/p>\n

Sean Dyche Under Pressure<\/h2>\n

Nottingham Forest boss Sean Dyche is also under scrutiny, with Forest’s form suffering an alarming dip.<\/p>\n

He won four of his first eight league matches following his appointment, but has since lost four in a row.<\/p>\n

A defeat against West Ham would mean five consecutive top-flight defeats, which would be a career first for Dyche.<\/p>\n

The majority of performances have shown promise, especially in the defeat against Manchester City, but the defence continues to make too many costly errors.<\/p>\n

The stats show that Forest have committed 22 errors leading to an opposition shot this season \u2013 the joint-second highest figure in the Premier League.<\/p>\n
