A host of Premier League clubs are set to take notice of speculation suggesting Luis Enrique will turn down the opportunity of extending his contract with Paris Saint-Germain.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Enrique has established his reputation as a world-class manager with the French giants, having finally managed to end their Champions League hoodoo.<\/p>\n

The 55-year-old altered the direction of the mega-rich club by allowing star-studded individuals to leave, such as Kylian Mbappe, and turned his side into a well-drilled, organised unit.<\/p>\n

His reward for winning club football’s most prestigious trophy was a bumper new deal, with reports suggesting they could offer him a lifetime contract.<\/p>\n

However, reports from Marca claim Enrique may leave PSG when his deal expires in 2027, with the possibility of leaving at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Luis Enrique to leave PSG?<\/h2>\n

The article adds that Enrique will want to pursue a new challenge after years of domination in Ligue 1.<\/p>\n

He’s won back-to-back domestic treble trophies with PSG and are firm favourites to win the title once again, despite sitting a point behind Lens at the top of the table.<\/p>\n

Enrique has won every major trophy available at PSG, but he can put himself in the history books when he decides on his next job.<\/p>\n

That is because no manager has ever won the Champions League<\/a> three times with three different clubs.<\/p>\n

Enrique won it with Barcelona in 2015, and it will surely come into his thinking when he decides to leave the French side.<\/p>\n

Where could Luis Enrique end up?<\/h2>\n

His future availability will undoubtedly catch the interest of numerous Premier League clubs.<\/p>\n

Manchester United are currently looking for a new long-term manager and will make an appointment at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is being drafted in on a short-term basis, allowing club chiefs to cast a wider net of targets in the summer.<\/p>\n

Oliver Glasner is the current favourite to become the next Manchester United manager<\/a>, while Enrique is a firm outsider in the betting.<\/p>\n

Any hopes of luring him to Old Trafford are likely to depend on Champions League qualification, and even then, it will remain a long shot.<\/p>\n

Enrique’s next destination is most likely to be at the Etihad. His expiring contract at PSG will also coincide with Guardiola’s deal at the Etihad.<\/p>\n

As it stands, he is currently the second favourite to become the next Manchester City manager.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Last month, Guardiola spoke of his future and said the club will need to be prepared for his departure.<\/p>\n

He said: “I’m happy here, I want to stay here. What can I say? Always results decide.<\/p>\n

“When it is the [end of the] chapter the club will choose the best one to continue this incredible period in Man City.<\/p>\n

“There have been rumours in the last years many, many times but I want to stay here. At the end of the season, we’ll see.<\/p>\n

“It depends on my feelings and my feeling right now is good. That’s why I want to continue.<\/p>\n
