A great-grandfather from Wales has landed a bumper \u00a3291,000 payout on The Pools after successfully predicting eight score draws.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Liverpool fan netted the Classic Pools jackpot with his selections from a weekend of fixtures leading up to Christmas.<\/p>\n

Peter Davies from Pontypridd, 77, had correctly called the outcome of seven matches with just the Monday night game between Manchester United and Bournemouth left to play.<\/p>\n

It became an all-time Premier League classic and with six minutes remaining Manchester United held a 4-3 lead.<\/p>\n

At that moment, the ball broke to Cherries super sub Junior Kroupi just inside United\u2019s penalty area.<\/p>\n

Kroupi\u2019s neatly side-footed equaliser clinched a 4-4 draw and confirmed Peter\u2019s \u00a3291,000 rollover win<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It was to become Ruben Amorim’s penultimate home game before being sacked as Manchester United manager<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Perhaps more remarkable than the scoreline was the fact that Peter had no idea he\u2019d won until the following day.<\/p>\n
