The LIV Golf season finale heads to Dallas this weekend at the Maridoe Golf Club (Texas)<\/em> – with the 13 LIV Golf Teams and 52 players battling it out for the huge $50 purse.

Read on as we explain just how the weekend LIV Golf Team event will work – from the three days format, seedings and how the prize money will be broken down.<\/p>\n

How Will The LIV Golf Dallas Team Championship Work?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Over the 2024 LIV Golf League<\/strong> season, there were points awarded to the teams based on how their players finished in each event.<\/p>\n

You can see the latest LIV Golf Team Standings below, with Spanish big-hitter Jon Rahm<\/a> winning the individual players title and a cool $18m golf<\/a> bonus in the process.<\/p>\n

However, despite Rahm’s efforts, his LegionXII LIV Golf Team are sitting in second place on 200 points – 8.5pts off the top LIV team – Crushers GC – who are made up of Bryson DeChambeau, Paul Casey, Charles Howell III and Anirban Lahiri.<\/p>\n

Over the 13 LIV Golf Tournaments, the Crushers GC players have managed three wins and three seconds. Plus, notched 12 top eight finishers, with the worse finish for them coming in Singapore with an 11th.<\/p>\n

The best golf betting sites in the UK<\/a> are pricing up LegionXII as the favourites to win the LIV Golf Team Championships, with the Crushers and Ripper come next in the market.<\/p>\n

LIV Golf Team Seedings 2024<\/strong><\/h3>\n

With all 13 LIV Golf Events played – with the last one being in Chicago last weekend – this has determined the seeds for each LIV Golf Team.<\/p>\n

The top three teams in the LIV Golf team standings will get first round byes and qualify automatically for Saturday’s semi-finals in Dallas.<\/p>\n

While team captains may also decide to take part in the singles or foursomes over the opening round.<\/p>\n

LIV Golf Team Prize Money 2024 – The Breakdown and Split<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The total purse for the LIV Golf Team Championships 2024 stands at $50m, which is the biggest single purse for any of the LIV Golf Tournaments.<\/p>\n

This purse is split with each team getting 60% of any winnings, which help towards their operating costs. While the players on each team will share the other 40% equally.<\/p>\n

LIV Golf Dallas Competition Format<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Friday 20th September 2024, 11:15am CDT<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The teams seeded 1-3 will get a bye on day one, while seeds 4-13 will compete in a head-to-head match-play competition.<\/p>\n

Teams with the highest ranking are allowed to select their opponents. With all 40 players in those 10 LIV Golf teams playing at the same time (shotgun start).<\/p>\n

Each head-to-head matchup will see three matches, two singles and one foursomes (alternate shots) matches.<\/p>\n

The matches will play out until there is a winner as there are no ties, so play-off holes might be needed. The winner of each match will get a single point for their team.<\/p>\n

With the five teams to score two points advancing to the semi-finals on Saturday.<\/p>\n

    Saturday 21st September 2024, 11:15am CDT<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    Onto Saturday and the seeded 1-3 teams will now join the five winning sides from the Friday. Meaning eight LIV Golf teams head into the semi-finals.<\/p>\n

    Again, the highest ranked teams will pick their opponents via the draft format, with all 32 players (in the 8 teams) heading out on a shotgun start.<\/p>\n

    The teams will play in the same format as Friday – with two singles matches and one foursomes match. Each winner getting a point for their team.<\/p>\n

    There are no ties again, so play-off holes may be needed. With the four teams that win two points making it to the Sunday LIV Golf Team Championship finals.<\/p>\n

      Sunday 22nd September 2024, 11:15am CDT<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      Sunday’s final will see all 52 players and 13 teams back in action for one round of stroke-play – over a shotgun start.<\/p>\n

      The four individual scores for each player will go towards their team’s score. But the four semi-final winners on Friday will compete for the 1st and 4th places.<\/p>\n

      Then the four losing semi-final teams will battle it out for places 5th to 8th, with the other five losing quarter-final sides in the 9th-13th section.<\/p>\n

      Prizes are then given out based on that teams finishing position. With the team with the lowest score on Sunday from the four top teams that got to the final are declared the LIV Golf League Team Champions 2024.<\/p>\n
