Norwich City are being dealt a blow in their chase to sign striker Kasper Hogh after Celtic entered the race, according to reports.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Canaries launched a bid<\/a> for the striker last week as they look to bolster their squad and claw themselves away from the threat of relegation.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old’s stock rose instantly after he scored twice in Bodo\/Glimt’s famous victory over Manchester City in the Champions League.<\/p>\n

Norwich lifted themselves away from the dropzone on Monday with an impressive comeback victory at home to table-toppers Coventry.<\/p>\n

Celtic Eye Kasper Hogh Offer<\/h2>\n

According to reports, Celtic are preparing an offer for Hogh and hope to finalise a deal with just days remaining of the transfer window.<\/p>\n

Boss Martin O’Neill is eager for the board to bring in new arrivals this month or risk losing out on the title to rivals Hearts.<\/p>\n

So far, the club have landed two loan signings in Bournemouth’s Julian Araujo and forward Tomas Cvancara.<\/p>\n

Celtic supporters have shared their frustrations and anger towards the hierarchy all season for numerous reasons, including the lack of transfer activity.<\/p>\n

Whether they will be willing to stump up the cash required to sign Hogh, who has a market value around \u20ac8million, appears doubtful.<\/p>\n

H\u00f8gh scored 17 goals in 28 league games for his team in the 2025 campaign as Glimt finished second in the Eliteserien.<\/p>\n

He joined Bod\u00f8\/Glimt in January 2024 and has since established himself as a vital part of their attacking line. During their Europa League run last season, he scored seven goals in 14 games.<\/p>\n

He is often described as a poacher or a pressing forward and is known for his high work rate and efficiency inside the penalty area.<\/p>\n

If Norwich can get a deal over the line, it will open up the possibility of Josh Sargent’s move to Toronto.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Norwich Bring In Brentford Midfielder<\/h2>\n

It was a productive night’s work for Norwich on Monday as they picked up three vital points and confirmed the arrival of Brentford’s Paris Maghoma.<\/a><\/p>\n

The 24-year-old signed a three-and-a-half-year contract after making just eight top-flight substitute appearances this season.<\/p>\n

Speaking to BBC Norfolk after his arrival, he said: “I had a chat with the gaffer, and it’s a young group, something I could see myself being integrated into.<\/p>\n

“I know the start of the season wasn’t the greatest but the team seems to be picking up some really good form, some decent results, so it’s about building on that and hopefully getting ourselves back into the Premier League.<\/p>\n
