Raheem Sterling wants to play regularly at his next club after leaving Chelsea.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sterling, 31, reached an agreement to terminate his contract by mutual consent after being frozen out of the Blues’ senior squad.<\/p>\n

His last competitive appearance came in May 2024 – a 4-1 win against Bournemouth.<\/p>\n

He had 18 months left on his deal and was the highest-paid player on the books at Stamford Bridge, earning more than \u00a3300,000 a week.<\/p>\n

However, he will now be able to breathe new life into his listing career.<\/p>\n

What Raheem Sterling Wants From Next Club<\/h2>\n

The forward is willing to ‘go anywhere’ in search of minutes, according to Henry Winter.<\/p>\n

Indeed, it is understood that his only condition is to play more – a contrast to his Blues stint.<\/p>\n

Now a free agent, he is expected to field multiple offers from around the world. This could see him commit to a project for several years, rather than club-hopping on short-term deals.<\/p>\n

Sterling was reluctant to go out on loan this season, having wanted to be close to his children. But after leaving Chelsea, he must now decide where he will take his next steps.<\/p>\n

A switch abroad will likely see his young family move with him, with clubs in Italy, including Napoli and Roma, keeping an especially close eye on his situation.<\/p>\n

“Sterling still wants to play. He\u2019s only 31, and brings all the experience of playing at elite PL clubs,” added Winter on X. “He has to show the hunger is still there.”<\/p>\n

Chelsea Confirm Raheem Sterling Departure<\/h2>\n

Sterling had joined Chelsea on a five-year contract from Manchester City in 2022 for \u00a347.5m.<\/p>\n

A statement arrival, he was the first big piece of business by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.<\/p>\n

But he slipped down the pecking order, before being shipped out for a disappointing loan spell at Arsenal<\/a> in 2024. After returning to his parent club, he trained away from the first-team.<\/p>\n

Not even the appointment of Liam Rosenior as Enzo Maresca’s replacement was enough for Sterling to be offered an olive branch, with a mutual parting of ways deemed the best outcome.<\/p>\n

Chelsea confirmed Sterling’s departure on Wednesday in a brief club statement.<\/p>\n

It read: “Raheem Sterling has today departed Chelsea Football Club by mutual agreement, bringing to an end three-and-a-half seasons as our player, having signed in the summer of 2022 when he was transferred from Manchester City. We thank Raheem for the contribution he made while a Chelsea player and wish him well for the next stage in his career.”<\/p>\n

Sterling took to Instagram to react to the news, writing: “All eyes on the future. God is great.”<\/p>\n

Both Fulham and West Ham are priced at 6\/4 to sign Sterling<\/a>, with Napoli at 9\/2.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
