Everton are weighing up a move for Fenerbahce striker Jhon Duran this month.<\/strong><\/p>\n

David Moyes is keen to sign a new frontman for the Toffees, but time is rapidly running out.<\/p>\n

While the club have waited patiently for an opportunity, Duran, who impressed at Aston Villa, is on their radar. As a result, they could launch an ambitious swoop in the coming days.<\/p>\n

Everton Show Interest In Jhon Duran<\/h2>\n

According to A Spor, Duran has attracted interest from several Premier League giants.<\/p>\n

The ace, 22, is currently on loan at Fenerbahce from Saudi outfit Al-Nassr, who he joined from Villa<\/a> for a staggering \u00a364million.<\/p>\n

He had scored 12 goals in 18 appearances in the Middle East but wanted to return to Europe, and sealed his switch to Turkey until the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Duran has netted five times in 21 games in Istanbul but could find himself on the move again.<\/p>\n

Everton are indeed in the race but will have to fend off stern competition from Nottingham Forest, West Ham United and Bournemouth, all of whom are keen to strike a loan deal.<\/p>\n

However, a major stumbling block could see the quartet miss out.<\/p>\n

Jhon Duran Unconvinced Over Transfer<\/h2>\n

Duran wants to stay at Fenerbahce this month, having only arrived in July.<\/p>\n

That will place the burden on Everton to deliver a convincing sales pitch. But this could prove difficult, especially with Thierno Barry impressing as Moyes’ new first-choice No 9.<\/p>\n

Barry has scored five goals in the Premier League this season, reducing Beto to a bit-part role from the bench.<\/p>\n

No stranger to England himself, Duran will want guaranteed game time.<\/p>\n

The fact that his current loan would also have to be ripped up before he could join Everton is another complicating factor. Regardless, speculation on his future continues to swirl.<\/p>\n

Duran has been removed from Fenerbahce’s travelling squad for their Europa League trip to FCSB on Thursday, with the club citing a knock as the reason behind his absence.<\/p>\n

Supporters, though, are more sceptical.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Sportscasting<\/em> reported that Everton also want Wilson Isidor<\/a> after missing out on Youssef En-Nesyri, who, ironically, is competing with Duran for a place up front.<\/p>\n

Shock Aston Villa Departure<\/h2>\n

Duran departed Villa to join Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr in January 2025.<\/p>\n

He scored 12 goals in 29 games in his final campaign and 20 in his 78 total appearances.<\/p>\n

But only seven of those were Premier League starts, with Unai Emery typically opting for Ollie Watkins instead.<\/p>\n
